“Despite its suspicious disappearance from Apple’s website last week, a new [iPod+iTunes] ad featuring rap superstar Eminem appeared to be in moderately-heavy rotation on network television this past Sunday,” AppleInsider reports.
“The ad appeared on Apple’s website for download immediately following the special event but disappeared within a few hours with no explanation… It remains unclear precisely why the ad was removed from Apple’s website,” AppleInsider reports.

The ad can be seen starting at 31:20 in Apple CEO Steve Jobs’ presentation (QuickTime required) here.

wow, so many harsh comments about an advert. I just hope it gets this kinda controversial comments from all the large media outlets as well…that would be even more publicity for Apple. About rap music…I have to say that there are quite some interesting talents out there commited to HipHop as well. Check out some stuff from A tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Prince Paul, Pharcyde or Mos Def. just FYI.
I remember the lugz ad. I even have it as hiRes somewhere. I hope it’s the same post studio behind this idea (don’t remember what studio it was, sorry) otherwise it’s a true rip off. Part of that – the Lugz spot is much nicer stylewise. Apple should let the guys from Buf Studios in Paris make their next spot instead. Now that could get some people faint. Or wait, what’s with Chris Cunningham? lol
j.red…. This ad was done by Logan (not by pysop who did the Lugz ad) and it was also directed by Mark Romanek. And yes it is a bad rip off.. the lugz spot is a lot better.
man I hate all music, so forget that DUMB iPod, which makes apple so much money.
forget that Hip Hop outsells any other genre of music, forget that Rappers are the only ones overly promoting iPods for Apple for free.
just Hate music, get rid of the iPod, and get Apple to focus on what it should be focusing on.
Computers (which happen to be widely used in the creation of rap music with Pro Tools et al.)
Why are there so many DUMBasses in the world… Man oh man. JEG please replace your head up the hole it came out of.
