This may or may not mean a thing – you decide:
Directories at Apple.com that are not found, for example… http://www.apple.com/windows/ … usually return:
“Looking for something at Apple.com?
The page you tried was not found. You may have used an outdated link or may have typed the address (URL) incorrectly.”
But… http://www.apple.com/movies/ … currently returns:
“Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access /movies/ on this server.”
Hmmm… What do you think?

Yay! sputnik is back! Dot Nyet!
I hope Apple knows that absolutely EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING they do is watched by Mac zealots.. incredible whoever found this..
What’s up ‘movies’? What’s up with Sherlock. Dictionary seems to be dead, and often the word “Dictionary” seems to be replaced with a nonsense syllable. The “Translation” channel is dead. “Movies” says it’s loading but never does. “Phone” says it’s loading, but doesn’t.
Used to be a nice utility, but major parts of it are kaput.
NICE find guys.
That’s Apples secret porn site. Sure fire way to sway the PCers to the Mac.
One word guys: NDA.
default page, you can type just about anything <http://www.apple.com/paramilitary> or http://www.apple.com/analfissure> and you’ll come to the same “non-existing address” default page.
another conspiracy shot down from the grassy-knoll…
keylime, my poor little retard. Please read the MDN article over and over again until you understand it.
I’ll try to help you understand, my poor little mongoloid:
Pages at Apple.com that are not found, for example… http://www.apple.com/keylime_is_mentally_retarded.html … usually return:
“Looking for something at Apple.com?
The page you tried was not found. You may have used an outdated link or may have typed the address (URL) incorrectly.”
But… http://www.apple.com/movies/ … currently returns:
“Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access /movies/ on this server.”
I hope that helped, my poor little idiot.
if you go to http://movies.apple.com you get the homepage…
if you type in anything else besides “movies” (say movies2.apple.com) you get a “Failed to open page”…
Ouch Kev go easy on the kid.
did someone say “Sherlock”? Who the hell still uses that app?
when steve did his recent iTunes presentation, he came to a video or movies tab in iTunes and said something like “we don’t have any movies” and quickly moved on. What was THAT?
Hey, I’ve got an insane theory! Maybe this super-secret MOVIES directory is where the Quicktime movies that are all over Apple’s website (not just the trailers) are stored on the server. I mean I realize that’s really far-fetched, but it’s so crazy it just might be true!
I’d have to agree with Dennis.
