Really cool. I was using gDesklets on Linux to get RSS feeds lately. Of course Tiger will be at my door hopefully Monday.
can i get one with a Thurott filter? And add on the Windows Angst filter too. And can you have one that filters out the phrase from every Macdailynews ‘take’ – “For our Windows-only friends, there really is a better way,…blah blah link to mac mini” because there are no Windows fans here, just Mac heads.

If the distant floating close box annoys you:
locate the widget in finder and “show package contents;
open Info.plist in Property List Editor;
change CloseBoxInsetX & Y values to 16 and 25, respectively;
close & reopen the widget after saving.
Those values worked well for me.
I just downloaded the newest version. Close circle has been fixed, and personally I like the scrolling…. is it different then the one you guys have?
I like it because I can use my scroll wheel with this widget, as most widgets don’t allow me to.
I’m with Dank – sure wish the Yahoo traffic widget would support my scroll button, too.
According to Apple’s design standard regarding widgets, standard HTML elements, like default form buttons and scroll bars are not allowed. The Dashboard SDK has examples of how to use custom scroll boxes and images for buttons.
For me, MDN is like all of my other websites; just check ’em once in the morning and move on. News, especially technology news, isn’t anything like weather data and dictionaries, things that need to be quickly F12ed.
If MDN actually does have some readers that must stay abreast of the latest MDN news item, good for them. But, these readers really need to find a life though.
I like it just fine. And I also like the Aqua scroll bars.
