  1. Mac User Who Can’t Stand Stupid Mac Users:

Uh, I think he KNOWS that, Mac User Who’s Too Young To Drive. He’s just making a point about the fact that it’s a radio show and . . .

Oh, never mind. It’s called “irony”. Go get mommy’s dictionary out and look it up, you non-Mac using twerp.

  2. Johnny Appleseed thinks naked pix of Ann Coulter would be great but I know once she speaks with her “manvoice” he’ll be totally creeped out. I think Billy Boy should toss in a free falafel to every contest entrant, what a loser.

Mac user = intelligent, enlightened, artistic, one of the beautiful people.

    PC user = Repuglican

    You know it’s true.

  3. Sorry “Drool Tunes” your statement was plain stupid.
Many Podcasts are “radio” programs – are you a tart or what?
Nothing ironic or otherwise pertinent to your “point”

    SB

  4. He is giving away one whole iPod!?!?!?
    How cheap can you get!
Hey MDN, in case you want to write about it, the city of Bellflower in California, gave away an iPod shuffle during their State of the City address last week.

  5. To “Mac User Who Knows O’Reilly’s A Shill”

I happen to lean more to the left than the right but I will say one thing……….

    FSCK YOU

Same goes for the rest of you dipshits that down O’Reilly.

People that lean THAT far to the left – just a bunch of total pussies. You and your wimpy attitudes are the cause for the majority of the problems the world faces today.

  6. I once heard O’Reilly call Steve Jobs “a sissy Hollywood liberal tree-hugging jerk” and said he should be arrested as an enemy of the state for his views and sent off to one of our torture-friendly “allies” to be taught a lesson. (This was for giving money to the Democratic party and being friends with Bill Clinton.)

  7. To Liberals=All that is bad in this world.

You guys are all the same, you say you lean left, then let the cat out of the bag with the balance of your response, soooo transparent you miss yourselves when you look in the mirror.

It’s always the same invectives, pussies, wimps, etc. hey what happened to fag and commie. The FUCK YOU was the give away however, typical response from a right wing hack with minimal language skills.

  8. Like Michael Savage says:

“Go on, sit back with your hat on backwards while Liberals take over this country with illegal aliens, with lies, with perversion.”

    “Liberalism is a mental disorder.”

And mine: “Liberals should be barred from Macs and Mac forums, and be forced to only use that which is also their favorite acronym: PC.”

  9. It’s great the way the internet allows an easy to access and open forum for the free exchange of thought between intelligent and open minded people. Now if only I could find where that is happening…

  10. Oh’Really is the missing link; a troglodye really. I’m not surprised that he has a loyal group of fans — proof that evolution is still happening for some.

  11. Good Lord, this is ridiculous. I’d like to inject some clarity here.

    — YES, I’m a proud liberal.
    — NO, I don’t mind if you aren’t… that’s your prerogative.
    — YES I love my Macintoshes, and I thought that’s what we were all here to talk about.
    — YES I’d gladly take Mr O’Reilly’s iPod off his hands.
    — NO, I don’t visit MDN to see stupid political mudslinging matches, and I don’t think anyone else does either.
    — YES, I’m well familiar that one-liner political screaming matches are bait for fools, and I’m sad to see that so many MDN readers have taken it.

For God’s sake, Mac users are enough of a minority already — do we really have to resort to yelling at each other in the middle of a pro-Mac website?

    It’s just really dumb.

For the record, I love talking politics (logically and reasonably), but this is neither the time nor the place. Now, can we all agree to go register to win that freePod?

Magic words here are “bridge” and “over,” as in “Build a damn bridge and get over yourselves.”

    Best,
    adam

  12. I’m with Adam on this one. I can’t stand seeing political commentary in this forum, from the left or the right. For pete’s sake, just drop it. If you want to bloviate, go someplace else.

  13. Apple doesn’t advertise on Rush or O’Reilly because sometimes you must stand for what is right regardless of any financial benefit.

About 8 years ago, Apple was planning on building a major Mac manufacturing site near a small Texas town; a huge boon for their employment and economy. But, the town objected to Apple because Apple’s health insurance covers same-sex couples. Rather than adjusting their health insurance, Apple left town and built outside of Texas at a much greater cost.

As you have seen in the past 4 years, it is impossible for the USA to endure the policies and ideologies of a Republican administration. They rape the country financially and try to justify it on war spending. Yelling “We’re the REAL patriots” does not cure the tremendous financial and social ills they inflict upon the nation.

A society is judged by how it treats the weakest of its citizens. When have the Republicans ever cared for anyone other than big business?

When was being “liberal” and generous a bad thing?
Do you really think that Jesus would have supported Republicans?

  14. You know what scares me? The major division that has occured in this country since the last election.

Just remember folks…”United we stand, divided we fall”.

If we keep being so polarized, THAT could end up bringing down this country faster than some fanatic Muslim.

  15. We know, your idea of HOT is Billary…
    LMAO.

You keep trying to convince people that conservatives are Nazis or whatever. The moral decline of American society will cost us all.
    Freedom doesn’t mean “no rules”
Compassion doesn’t mean “lazy asses that feed off of my hard work and tax dollars” to watch Oprah while I work and they send their kids to public day care while they score crack.

  16. Gentlemen/ladies,

Look at what your computer is doing to you! A wonderful Mac page drenched, nay, stained with bitter hatred. (I can understand if that emotion came off of an IBM keyboard.)

But aren’t we doing our Mac keyboards an injustice by typing out the wrong combination of letters and/or numbers. Or even a few mixed-in symbols?

I mean, love your neighbor, man. That lesson survived, er, came from the 60s?

And let’s face it, O’Reilly is no conservative. He worships the ratings point and would start spouting from the book Marx if it would up his numbers.

He’s not worth expending any energy over, nor any attention other than to notice how badly you’re being manipulated. It’s just like on his show when you have seen no news on the Lacy Peterson trial on his show night after night. Why? Because he notes, it ups his ratings.

For a couple hundred dollars, he bought himself hundreds of thousands in free publicity, courtesy of the over-sensitive Mac owner that will carry his contest in discussions all over the web.

Remember, good publicity or bad publicity is still publicity.
