What’s on U.S. President Bush’s Apple iPod?

“There are certain colorful aspects of the president’s life that have not been much explored, understandably overshadowed by war and a hard-fought election. That he listens to Creedence Clearwater Revival on his iPod, for instance,” Robin Abcarian reports for The Associated Press. “The Bushes are aware of this, said Laura Bush’s press secretary, Gordon Johndroe. ‘There is a certain expectation that the president and first lady be consumers of American culture. They know people are interested in what movies they see and what music they listen to.'”

“The president has owned the personal accessory of the moment for some time, said Johndroe. He’s loaded his iPod with his favorite country singers: George Jones, Kenny Chesney and Alan Jackson. He also listens to Aaron Neville, Creedence and Van Morrison,” Abcarian reports. “The first lady doesn’t have an iPod but she is a confirmed online shopper.”

  1. Maybe the bush-bashers should put the canadian or mexican national anthem on their ipods.

Love it or leave it you worthless ingrates.

Stop complaining and find a ‘better’ county to live in.

Oh wait, America Defends Canada, that would be a problem for you ethically right?

    Sad pathetic hippie sub-culture-of-ignorant-protesters.

  2. Really guys, you should try to be funny with your answers.
Rock against Bush was somewhat good but I believe it

“Everybody Wants to Rule the World” by Tears for Fears.

I can see him rocking himself to sleep listening to that tune.

  3. I’m almost loath to read the comments to be posted here as I know how the Bush haters are will royally F it all up. Such bitter, sad people.

I found the article fascinating though, as I always like to read up on mac use by people in power. From the President to Newt Gingrich, Apple has good saturation here.

The poster “Get over it” has the right idea. Just stop being so nasty towards a good and honest (that’s right I said honest) man.

  4. To Macaday:
Your intolerance of others views makes me wish you weren’t a Mac user.

different opinions are fine as long they agree with yours eh?
    -you are enlightening

Expressing objection to someone’ view is fine, but you and your opinions are very very narrow.

  5. @ Marcus RE: “Just stop being so nasty towards a good and honest (that’s right I said honest) man.”

Regarding the “honest” part you mentioned… what are you on? HE LIES! THERE IS NO OPINION ON THIS ONE MARCIE!!! He flat out lies! Guess you must be the top 1% income bracket. Have fun with your tax break while our children die you selfish bitch/asshole.

  6. Most of the Bush bashers are Eurotrash commies! Whatever. They’ve got nothing better to do than wish they were American. Keep making fools of yourselves with those pathetic posts. jfbiii – highly unlikely you tool. what’s your claim to fame you loser?

  7. Is anyone here old enough to remember when Reagan was president? He was absolutely despised and cut apart by the Left (how about the “Ronald the clown” and actor-as-president jokes?), only to be almost romanticized as “one of our greatest” by the same Left two decades later. How two-faced and pathetic.

My bets are on history repeating itself, and the same thing happening with Dubya.

  8. hahah the comments here are more amusing than the story itself (not that the article didn’t have some fun value)…

“Everyone thought Iraq had wmd. Everyone.”

bzzzt… you lose. most of the world didn’t, hence why most of the world didn’t see a reason to invade. try again sunshine.

seriously guys, Georgie-boy may have won the election there, but the popular vote of the world is to string the fearmongering liar up the nearest tree and urinate down his throat until he drowns, and we’re not gonna stop talking about it and giving you guys crap until it happens… so YOU get over it and go back to watching FOX News and televangelists while stuffing your face.

    (harsh generalisations are fun)

i’m actually surprised Bush would use an iPod… mean, it may have the best user interface in the market, but even still it requires some brain activity to operate one, not to mention hand coordination. if his dexterity with his thumb is akin to his dexterity with the english language… hmmm… maybe he just keeps one around so he can lick the back, because the metal surface tastes funny?

actually, here’s an idea for Apple… the Republican Party Special Edition iPod Shuffle… all buttons removed except a big red Play/Pause button, complete with a little plastic flip-cover… ah, the symbolism.

i feel better now. lights out.

  9. I figure Bush is probably listening to “Right Right Now Now” by The Beastie Boys and tapping his feet to it saying “This rap music kids listen to really has a lot of spunk! Condeleeza, you’re black, have you heard of these guys?”

Upon cleaning the earbuds and listening Condaleeza responds, “Sir, that music is speaking out against you and your policies”

    “oh.”

  10. @ Reggie RE: “Most of the Bush bashers are Eurotrash commies!”

REAL americans take pride in free speech. There is nothing more american than a U.S. citizen hating what Bush has done so far and the outright lies/scandals (i.e. Weapons of Mass Destruction & the rigged election(s)) that got him there. There is NOTHING MORE american than to hate Bush.

BTW… chi-town here! Ignorant republicans (that’s an oxymoron) piss me off!

  11. “but the popular vote of the world is to string the fearmongering liar up the nearest tree and urinate down his throat until he drowns, and we’re not gonna stop talking about it and giving you guys crap until it happens”

Fuck the word. Americans pick their president, nobody else. Like it or not, Bush is president for the next few years, and your opinion doesn’t matter. Deal with it.

Miss Rice is GOOD, because she’s brown… and we all know that brown rice is good for you.

    Bless your heart, Dave Hughes.

  14. Help Im about to drown in the bulls**t. I wonder about who profits from putting humans against each other based on nationality or what news service they read/watch. Our species manages to hold ourselves back so much with our petty jealousies and interests.
