    1. Yep, I was addicted for a year and a half to that blasted internet drug. I finally came to my senses and realized my wife was a hell of a lot more important than a game. But every once in a while I still think of my main with fondness.

      1. Glad I’m not the only one. I started with the beta and was addicted, setting aside 4 hours on a weeknight to raid Molten Core… I loved it, and even got the WinterSpring Frostsaber mount (longest grind in the game). Quitting really improved my life though. 🙂

  1. WOW destroyed my life. I was sober for 2 years. They pulled me back in with Warlords of Draenor. I’m a PVP junkie though. I hate Warlocks. I must kill them all.

I tried Star Trek Online when they supposedly released a Mac Client. It’s is one big POS. The beta worked better than the release software. I can’t get it to run for more than a few minutes. It’s a common complaint. As far as I am concerned there is no Mac Client for Star Trek Online.

That’s what I like about Blizzard. They build the Mac version of their games right alongside the PC version. They are released simultaneous and the level of quality is high for both. WOW is over a DECADE old now, and still going strong. It looks stunning on a 5K iMac by the way.

This time though, I’m rationing myself, and if I play WOW I only eat fruits and vegetables converted to juice from my magic blender.

  2. My life was changed by a MUSH (Multiple User Shared Hallucination) based on Lord of the Rings. This was before graphic role playing games. It was text only, but it had a rich environment with thousands of “rooms” (locations) and hundreds of people on line at once. I was one of Aragorn’s rangers and my current real life wife was an elf. We met on line and the rest is history. 15 years alter we have two kids together and are massively happy.
