Apple today debuted a new TV ad, “Designed Together,” featuring the company’s iPhone 5 in a candy shell, iPhone 5c, and the new iOS 7, which was just released today.
In the new iPhone 5c, color is more than just something you see. The hardware and software are designed together so you feel color throughout the entire experience. – Apple’s official YouTube Channel
iPhone 5c is built on a foundation of features, including a 4-inch Retina display, Apple’s A6 chip, and the 8 megapixel iSight camera — all while delivering excellent battery life. The iPhone 5c features more LTE bands than any other smartphone in the world, a new FaceTime HD camera, and iOS 7, the most significant iOS update since the original iPhone.

MacDailyNews Take: This rather amazing, extremely well-exectuted ad very nicely illustrates the myriad benefits of having one visionary, Jony Ive, in charge of the look and feel of both the hardware and the software.
Apples ads have improved. The C ads have been fun, like the old iPod ads. Without talking and focusing on visuals it will help attract people, like me, who skip ads with the DVR. Similar to the Heineken ads.
great ad–too bad about the 5C case which looks absolutely ridiculous from behind and allows you to read only a portion of the writing on the back of the phone–very surprised Apple has yet to pull or redesign these cases, wouldn’t cost a lot.
Now that’s the Apple we know and love.
Turn up the Ive.
(Talking about Apple’s ad, not BLN’s ad above : )
The 5C- The Mullet of Cell Phones.
Apple is even selling a Zune Brown Case over on the Apple Store for the 5S. Seriously.

That’s one good ad. I still don’t see the appeal of the 5c from a geek’s perspective – but it looks really freaking cool in that ad.
I just wish the iOS 7 home screen and icons had as much spunk (interestingly, I don’t mind the rest of the UI as much). No need in complaining anymore; it’s here and it’s the present and future of iOS. I’m going to dig in and be a power user again. iOS fades into the background for me, anyway. And that’s a good thing. The experience and ability to get my work done is what matters most.
It would have been funnier to have edited an iCrock into the hand of the Get Smart character. He had a hidden cell phone imbedded into his dress shoe. However, young people would know nothing about that. Like so many other things.
Missed it . . . by that much!
The shoe ad, not Apple’s.
eh.
yeah lets see a better one from you.
actually I have before I retired.
Honestly Ehhh What Competative features are demonstrated? All it shows is that it’s colorful. How does this compete with the competition? How does it convince anyone that it’s better than DROID… especially for the money?
it’s not about competitive features bozo. the commercial showcases the design continuity of the 5c with iOS7 and does it very beautifully
Smart people already KNOW its better than Droid.
Actually – if I were controlling ads for Crocs… this is an ad I would probably choose. Linking Crocs to the 5C would probably sell a hell of a lot more Crocs…
Nicely done. Yes MDN take is spot on.
Even Better
Yea, Siri is in your new iPhone 5c, she’s shacking up with the male voice. 😉
Fresh and Awesome!
NICE!!! Way 2 go Apple!
The ad will sell a lot of phones to pre-teen girls.
That was an incredibly groovy ad. Ha. Bravo 😛
Great ad and yes the combination of product and interface is great innovation in itself and a true vision, not sure its a vision I can identify with yet but we will see, maybe Im getting old.
What more evidence do we need?
iPhone commercials now officially contain 100% Barbie Farts and 0% innovation.
