Apple has once again released new firmware updates for its AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods 4 models. This latest update follows a series of recent firmware releases for Apple’s audio devices.
While the specific changes included in firmware versions 7B20 (AirPods 4) and 7B21 (AirPods Pro 2) have not been officially disclosed, the frequent updates suggest that Apple is actively working to improve the performance and features of its AirPods lineup.
Apple recently released a firmware update for the AirPods 4, bringing them to version 7B19. This update aligns with the previous firmware update for the AirPods Pro 2, although the AirPods 4 do not support the Hearing Health features included in the AirPods Pro 2 update.
AirPods firmware updates are automatically installed over-the-air when the AirPods are connected to an iOS device and placed in their charging case. Users cannot manually initiate the update process.
