Get ready for smarter iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks thanks to upcoming Apple Silicon M4 and A18 chips. These new chips will have significantly more power for AI tasks with Neural Engines said to increase from the current 16 to 32-cores. Things like understanding your voice, Siri results, analyzing your photos, and even predicting your next move are likely uses.

Apple’s is currently in scramble mode, playing catch up in AI, including generative AI, and they want their devices to be the smartest available.

Apple will need a lot of these powerful chips for Macs, iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches, Vision spatial computing devices, and more, so, according to Economic Daily News, Apple, already TSMC’s largest customer by far, is ordering 50% more chips than last year.

Users can expect Apple’s next-gen Macs, iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches, Apple Vision, and other devices to get much smarter, faster, and more intuitive.
