A new rumor states that Apple’s forthcoming iPhone 15 Pro Max “will break the record” for the ultra-thin smartphone bezels.
In a post on Twitter, leaker Ice Universe reiterated that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will feature significantly slimmer bezels compared to the iPhone 14 Pro Max. The bezels, or the black edge between the display and the rest of the unibody design, will reportedly measure in at just 1.55 mm.
iPhone 15 Pro Max will break the record of 1.81mm bezel black edge held by Xiaomi 13, and we measure that its cover plate black bezel width is only 1.55 mm.（S22 and S23 ≈1.95mm，iPhone 14 Pro 2.17mm） pic.twitter.com/9TBrVCGSCo

How does this compare to the competition? “iPhone 15 Pro Max will break the record,” today’s rumor says. Currently, the Android-powered (iPhone clone) Xiaomi 13 has the smallest bezels of any smartphone, measuring just 1.81 mm. The iPhone 14 Pro bezels, for comparison, measure 2.17 mm while the Samsung Galaxy S22 and S23 bezels measure 1.95 mm.

In importance, I would rank that as nearly equivalent to being the greatest ski jumper in Kansas.
I don’t care. I use a protective case anyway. I want a solid iPhone. I am waiting for the iPhone Ultra.
This doesn’t even make sense. I’m not an android fan and I particularly hate Samsung devices (worst fridge and dishwasher I’ve ever owned), but they’ve had phones with NO bezels for years. The screen wraps around the sides.
Absolutely correct and you beat me to saying it. Clearly shows Apple is behind its rivals when it comes to design innovation. Another example is the hideous notch the Android rivals do not have to endure.
I want a bigger iPhone, a 0.36mm smaller bezel is irrelevant, or at the least less of the ridiculous padding Apples stuffs around all of their app icons like asbestos.
How about a little bit thicker iPhone with outrageous battery life
