Apple Pay will now work with PayAnywhere

North American Bancard today announced that it will introduce the newest version of its PayAnywhere Mobile credit card reader, available exclusively in Apple Stores nationwide and in September.

PayAnywhere is a go-to mobile credit card reader for businesses and individuals who want to accept Apple Pay, the easy and private way to pay that’s safer than credit cards today. Available for iOS devices, this new PayAnywhere Mobile reader accepts Apple Pay, other contactless NFC payments, traditional magnetic stripe credit cards and is EMV-capable. PayAnywhere is also offering merchants $5,000 free in Apple Pay transaction processing with a new PayAnywhere account, an unprecedented offer in the industry.

Security and privacy is at the core of Apple Pay. When you add a credit or debit card to Apple Pay, the actual card numbers are not stored on the device, nor on Apple servers. Instead, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored in the Secure Element on your device. Each transaction is authorized with a one-time unique dynamic security code.

PayAnywhere, which launched for iOS in January 2011, is a mobile payments solution that provides a seamless checkout experience for both merchants and their customers, offering faster funding, real-time analytics, and superior customer service. The versatile PayAnywhere Mobile reader turns an iPhone or iPad into a mobile POS system with robust features and functionality and real-time enrollment, all at one of the industry’s lowest rates. PayAnywhere Mobile accepts all major credit cards, including Apple Pay transactions, for one rate with no setup or monthly fees.

“We are thrilled to offer PayAnywhere to sellers and business owners of all sizes and types, anywhere in the US. Customers will be able to purchase a solution which will enable them to accept Apple Pay on their iPhone or iPad. We are very excited to launch sales exclusively in Apple stores throughout the country,” said Marc Gardner, founder, president and CEO of North American Bancard, in a statement. “To demonstrate how simple and easy it is to accept Apple Pay, we have chosen to offer all customers the first $5000 free in Apple Pay transaction processing with a new PayAnywhere account.”

PayAnywhere will be featured in the Apple store next month. The device will retail for $39.95, and the PayAnywhere Mobile app is free in the App Store.

Apple Pay is easy to set up and users will continue to receive all of the rewards and benefits offered by credit and debit cards. In stores, Apple Pay works with iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch.

  1. A very bad company with great technology. Do not do any business with payanywhere. They are able to calculate sales tax automatically based upon physical location of the device. This is an amazing feature. Is it worth their bad customer service ? Possibly. The feature is that good if you collect sales via a mobile sales force. Be prepared to fight them if their customer service tries to hoodwink you.
