“‘Our latest Apple Watch Monitor continues to find lackluster interest as measured by global search activity,’ analyst Steven Milunovich wrote. Interest for Apple products had declined, as had interest for many consumer electronic launches,” Williams reports. “‘Interest typically declines over time; the rate of decline for the Watch since introduction is slightly better than for other Apple product releases,’ Milunovich commented.”

Williams reports, “The analyst also pointed out that global search interest for Apple Watch was slightly higher than for the wearables from Fitbit Inc.”

  1. Yeah right, people are standing in line overnight, fighting each other to get their hands on an Apple Stupidwatch.

This watch has more flaws than Tim Cook… and that’s saying something.

I’m glad the Apple Watch exists, because now the ENTIRE world knows exactly how inept, lazy, greedy, and utterly incompetent that Tim Cook really is!

Apple fanboys gloat about how much money the stock has made on his watch, ignoring the fact that a chimpanzee could’ve babysat Apple with the same results.

  2. Gee! Such seething scorn, anger, resentment, envy and hurt is typically expressed by those who’ve been scorned or hurt romantically…. is there something smoldering beneath your comment? … Enquiring minds want to know 🙂

  3. Introducing something completely different in a new product category doesn’t cause blockbuster sales is a bad thing? A product that was sold out with in minutes of introduction. The watch in the 21st century is being reinvent. In the 20th almost every one had a watch, it was needed to be productive. The cell phone started its decline to where it became a luxury fashion item. When the: iPod came out portable music players were not in decline; Apple TV set top boxes were in growth, households had several; iPhone smartphones were hyper expanding; the Mac after decades we are just beginning to see declined in personal computers. The fact that Apple Watch has taken the lead in the bleeding edge smart watch market is amazing. That the remains of the devastated watch industry, the ones that showed they could survive anything, are concerned says a lot.

  4. Let’s face it, this thing isn’t going take the world by storm, and sales will be incremental at best. I’m a fanboy, and my brother is the biggest fanboy I’ve met, but the Apple Watch simply doesn’t appeal to us. The only person I’ve met who owns one told me last week that the jury is still out on his. He may be handing it down to a family member.

    1. The iPad did take the world by storm, yet the Apple Watch outsold the iPad over the same 10 week launch period (source: Tim Cook comment during July Earnings Report and Conference call).

THE iPAD WAS APPLE’S MOST SUCCESSFUL NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH IN HISTORY.

  5. “Lackluster” is a word that does not provoke positive thoughts and emotions in any way, Tim Cook’s “lackluster” explanation for not revealing Apple Watch sales notwithstanding.

    1. You know Fred, I just don’t get it about yous-guys… I mean, if I happen upon something that rocks my world, that I find some utility, usefulness, or just plain ole joy in, I’m for it, damn the torpedoes, I could couldn’t care less about anyone else’s opinion, that’s just me, but when I hear about others simply reacting to supposed sale’s numbers, or other people’s reaction and taste and opinions, and make their decisions as to whether to buy, or not, except for investments sake, it just baffles and blows my mind that there are actually intelligent adults that let others sway their mind as to what to like or not to like…, except, as I say when it comes to investments. Have you even gone to take a look at what you seemingly have dismissed outta hand based on supposed sales numbers?
