Apple has debuted a new TV ad for Christmas 2014, “The Song,” on U.S. broadcast and cable television.
In the 90-second spot, a granddaughter rerecords a special song for her grandmother.
With a Mac, iPhone or iPad you have the power to create thoughtful, emotional gifts and memories that transcend time. It could be a movie, a homemade card or a song that brings two generations closer together.

Brought a tear to my eye, it did
Lol….did mommy have to get you tissues….there there there.
Me, too
What a wonderful ad.
“Teacher says, every time a bell rings, Botvinnik throws-up on his shoe.”
Capraesque goo.
It’s a good ad, considering the season. We expect everything to come with extra sugar around Christmas.
Everybody has a favorite song from that time in their lives, and they chose a good one. Woody Allen used “Our Love Is Here To Stay” for his movie, “Manhattan.”
My grandmother and grandfather’s love song way back then was, “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida.”
But they didn’t sing to it.
Ours was “Louie Louie.”
Put a a tug on my heart strings. Love it.
If this film doesn’t make you cry, you are truly heartless…BRAVO Apple!
Brilliant war-era-movie style emotion. Love it! Great to see a brilliant A-class ad after the recent B/C-class iPhone ads. Also the new iPad Air2 “Change Is In the Air” is also brilliant with lots of excitement and drive—it really rocks! Such a relief to see Apple ads once again on top of their game —firing on all cylinders! Let’s put these guys to work and let’s have a renaissance in Apple advertising (and inspire-me mini documentaries as well). Can’t wait to see what they come up with! Keep on rocking’/coonin’.
