“A small but growing number of iPhone 6 Plus owners have reportedly bent their phones after carrying the devices in their pockets just days after launch,” Kelly Hodgkins reports for MacRumors. “In one instance, a new iPhone 6 Plus was bent during a day of dancing, dining, and driving to a wedding.”
“This potential for bending is of course not unique to the iPhone 6 Plus, with reports of bent iPhone 5 and 5s handsets surfacing in the past few years. As iPhones get thinner and larger, however, storage of the handset in a pocket becomes riskier,” Hodgkins reports. “To prevent bending, iPhone 6 Plus owners may want to remove their iPhones from their pockets before sitting or bending. If a pocket is unavoidable, then customers may want to place their device in a roomier pocket that allows the device to slide out the way. A rigid case may also provide protection from flexing or bending, as well damage from dropping the device. ”

Be careful out there. Use common sense. iPhones are currently made with aluminum and glass and are not unbendable/unbreakable.

Common sense is so rare threes days that it almost qualifies as a superpower.
The 6+ is tempting, but how easy will it be to carry? I’m on a contract that will run out when the 6s/6s+ come out so I have a year to ponder my decision.
Be sure you don’t try to surf on it. You’ll void the warrantee.
If I get one of these new Gigantor iPhones in the future, I’ll just stop wearing pants altogether. I don’t want to accidentally bend these out of shape.
I wish this were FUD. It is not. First time I touched an iPhone + it had a slight curve/indent-bump thing by the volume rocker. Freaked the owner out when I asked him about it. He was headed to the Apple store to get it replaced (good luck with that). He is a big guy. He did have it in his tight jeans. I hope this is isolated to dumb, fat people (sorry friend) but it does happen.
At this moment Samdung execs are stupid storming an idea for a commercial to capitalize on this. Now instead of the brainwashing of massive ginormous screens, Plastics, cheap bendable Plastics is the new goal for Apple to catch up on. Because Samshit Massive Gigantor Phablets will bend and return to normal because cheap plastic is better than high quality metal that Apple uses.

I certainly hope that these people have contacted Apple about this problem instead of just complaining on Apple blog sites.
