Apple has debuted a new television ad on U.S. cable and broadcast networks which is accompanied by a song called “Life of Dreams” by Julie Doiron.
The ad shows a young mother using her iPhone 5s to monitor her baby, a father teaching his young children how to brush their teeth using an iPhone app, a family using their iPhone 5s to track and find their lost dog, a mother on a business trip using FaceTime to frill her son with flash cards, and much more.
The ad ends with the text slogan, “You’re more powerful than you think. iPhone 5s,” and closes on the Apple logo.
The featured apps in the “Parenthood” ad:
• Withings WithBaby
• MyTeeth
• DRAWNIMAL
• FaceTime
• Pet Manager PRO
• WeMo
• Camera
• Kinsa
• Nike+ Running

It’s not about knocking a competitor.
It’s not about making claims that aren’t supported in the real world.
It’s always about what you can do.
Agreed. Promotion based on your own strengths seems more effective than basing on the competitors shortcomings.
If your product doesn’t do anything that the other guy’s doesn’t, then you’ve got a problem.
As a relatively new grandparent to multiple little ones, this commercial is spot on for parents. A nice comeback after that goofy chicken fat song commercial.
“Chicken fat” — I can not even imagine that Steven Jobs would consider such atrocity. This new advertisement is much classier.
The thing about that commercial is, I love what they were trying to do, but the song choice absolutely sunk it.
I’ve seen a number of comments from my FB friends that love that commercial because they remember being in school when they played it. Of course, that makes it relevant mostly to grandparent aged demographics.
Now that’s cute.
Love it!
Nothing wrong with this or the chicken fat commercial. The targeted audience is just different.
gag-o-rama.
I want to see an ad with Steve Job’s yacht in it.
Hey you little brat! You just hosed my iPhone! Get inside!
