Apple seeds OS X Mavericks 10.9.3 beta 5 to developers

“After seeding the fourth OS X Mavericks 10.9.3 beta (build 13D28) to developers a week ago, Apple today pushed out another pre-release version of the update, Mavericks 10.9.3 (build 13D33),” Jordan Kahn reports for 9to5Mac. “Like previous builds, Apple is once again asking developers to focus on Graphics Drivers, Audio, Safari, and Contacts/Calendar USB sync via iTunes.”

Kahn reports, “One feature users can expect when the update is released to the public is the enhanced support for 4K external monitors we discovered in the first beta.”

  1. Looks like Tim Cook has given up on fixing the IMAP email FAIL in Mavericks. Wonder whether mail will be usable for business users in 10.10. Perhaps we need to learn to settle for useless incremental streaming video channels instead of usable basic programs.

    1. Yes, Apple IMAP email is a mess. I wasn’t having the problems others did after Mavericks, but am now after the last “update.” And I don’t use gmail, just AOL and iCloud.

  2. Is there anyone left on this site with integrity? Someone not paid by SameSung? I see more and more snide remarks without foundation very much as the SamSung paid bloggers do even though it is common knowledge now.

It is funny how these people are selling their soul for bits of shiny coins.

    1. Alas, what once was a blissful karesansui is untended, stones encrusted with fungi, weeds creeping across unraked sand. No longer serene, it now hosts vermin bringing pestilential antics and clownish insults.

  3. Sadly, there are those who would deny the truth. I guess it’s better to live in fantasy land than admit that real problems exist. Each iteration of OS X during the Cook era is a house divided against itself: Fantastic vs Pragmatic Disappointment; Blinding/Shiny New vs Recurrent Failures; New vs Old; Gadgets vs Software. Yes, change is hard; but when change is instituted for change’s sake, the result is mediocrity. The latter is a list that is beginning to cause those with once cooler dispositions and unshakable loyalty to express their frustrations in a manner out of character for the love of a company whose innovation and product quality were unimpeachable. The list of failures and misses is becoming all too common (and too long to list here): Take your pick – iWork, Mavericks, iCloud. When Apple’s ship runs aground under the “Gadget Guru,” I hope the Board of Directors will find someone with a commitment to computers and software, rather than fads which ultimately lose their appeal over time.
