“In the two years since Cook assumed the reins of Apple from iconic Steve Jobs, the new CEO has presided, shockingly, over the dismantling of Apple’s pristine reputation for innovation and the crumbling of Apple’s high-flying stock,” Seitel writes. “Cook’s latest catastrophe came Tuesday, when, with typically-unbridled Apple anticipation before a packed media house in Cupertino, he personally announced what was billed as ‘Apple’s next big thing.’ Only it wasn’t.”
Seitel writes, “what has caused Apple’s fortunes to tumble? Two words: Public relations.”
“Not only has Apple’s public relations gotten worse under Mr. Cook, it’s also starting to lose its marketing touch; so much so that with Apple’s stock back down 33% from its peak, investors are once again calling for the CEO’s scalp,” Seitel writes. “What can the confused Cook do to prevent the ignominy of getting canned and having to slink away with nothing but his $378 million compensation package as comfort?”

I said it first. It was easy to see from the start. Tim Cook is a disaster and all the lemmings in the world, mostly found in the MDN world with only the very stupid “troll” response to anything other that praise for the once great company and its clueless CEO, won’t change the reality of what’s become of Apple and AAPL. Sad but true and sadder still that that ridiculous, fat board of directors have committed gross negligence and will soon face some serious lawsuits from investors.

Maybe he could have done better, but the ultimate problem is that no one is Steve Jobs, and the media seem to have convinced themselves that he was perfect and released market changing products after every meal.
Go to any mall with an Apple Store on a Saturday. Try to see the back of the store. You can’t. There’s too many people in the way buying products. The stock manipulation that started the stock rise and fall has nothing to do with the health of Apple as a business, it says more about the vagaries of investors and the deceit of so called investment experts.

Apple’s fortunes, happily, have not tumbled. Instead, public relations jerks outside of Apple, aka Marketing-Morons, have been totally ticked off that Apple is entirely UNLIKE them. They hate it, they hate Apple, they’d love to RUN Apple, and if they DID run Apple, they’d run it right into the GROUND.
