Facebook today released Facebook 5.0 for Apple’s iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
With the Facebook app, users can:
• See what friends are up to
• Share updates, photos and videos
• Get notified when friends like and comment on posts
• Text, chat and have group conversations
• Play games and use favorite apps
In Version 5.0, Facebook says they have “rebuilt the app so it’s faster and easier to use.”
In addition:
• Scrolling through news feed is faster than ever
• New banner lets you tap to quickly see more stories – no need to refresh
• Photos open fast and close with one downward swipe
• Instant access to your notifications
Facebook 5.0 is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. The app requires iOS 4.3 or later.
More info and download link (free) via Apple’s App Store here.
[Thanks to MacDailyNews readers too numerous to mention individually for the heads up.]
Not even Landscape on the iPad!!!!!!!!
it goes to landscape on my iPad.
Facebook? Are they still in business?
Yes, they’re just a penny stock now. 😉
🙂 🙂 🙂
Lots of people, too numerous to mention, couldn’t wait to bring this news to MDN. So, apparently they’re still in business.
Count me as one of those. Downloading post haste when I get home. It’s FINALLY iOS native!
Is there a worse App or worse technology than the Facebook App? Nothing M$ *ever* did is worse I’d argue.
Wow, you’ve only had moments to use Facebook 5.0. Is it really that bad?
No, but bashing something popular makes him feel special and above it all.
Yep, it is faster
But is it snappier, that’s the true test.
Ive hated the new Facebook layout because scrolling in the old Facebook app was more like JUMPING. It was shit. This better fix it.
Much smoother
