“Fired Walt Disney Studios Chairman Rich Ross just sent [a memo] to his staff, followed by a statement from Disney Chairman Bob Iger,” Nikki Finke reports for Deadline.
“But make no mistake about it: Ross did not simply decide to step down – he was fired,” Finke reports. “He was named Chairman of the Walt Disney Studios on October 5, 2009. Previously, he’d been the very successful President of Disney Channels Worldwide overseeing global hits like Hannah Montana and High School Musical.”

The movie was good. 3D enhanced the story and was well written with good character development. In short, a recipie
for disaster. Put it in as a TV series, cannabilize the effects
and make up the $. It should be the first 3D series on TV for
All those sets with no content coming out but NATGEO and
Fish tanks.
It was a very good movie with flaws. I love 3D but didn’t find the 3D was anything special. I found casting of J. Caesar and Mark Anthony from Rome series in similar roles a bit distracting and odd. Some of the outfits (and scenes) were a bit cheesy. It badly needed a better and strong lead actor in JC’s role.
“Yea, I live out here in BFE and it hasn’t even shown in our local theatre yet. Reacting a bit too soon in my opinion…”
If the critics and peeps in LaLa and Bloombergville (formerly NYC) don’t like it they will pull the plug and you can find the video in the cut outs in a few months.
these days i thought dvd sales do better then the theatres do
I could expound on the virtues or lack of in Hollywood, but no. Hollywood is its own worst enemy. The DOA of JC in theatres lies solely with Disney. Horribly sad job of marketing on thier part, I asked folks that I worked with about this movie, and the most common answer was ‘WHO’? …smh
Now, for those uninitiated, and making the comments regarding others ideas. THIS BOOK WAS WRITTEN BEFORE ANY OF THAT!!!!!!! So if anyone used anyone’s ideas, and isn’t that the sincerest form of flattery, then be angry with Steven Speilberg or George Lucas. Because these stories inspired all of thier adventures, and without Burroughs none of it would have been possible… Jus sayin
