Conan O’Brien has reworked Apple’s iPhone 4S Siri commercial.

You can ask Apple’s Siri anything, yes ANYTHING.

  1. The Conan add-ons are really stupid, dumb, sophomoric, and NOT FUNNY. I certainly appreciate good humor, but that wasn’t. The Coke Zero ad, suggesting all of the values of staying slim, was excellent. And, of course, Apple’s undoctored Siri commercial is outstanding.

  2. Im glad the media is all attention to Siri. The Android copy cats are doing their dammnest to play down Siri as nothing special. The idiots even brag about creating an equivalent in less than 8 hours. That dumb site brags how easy it was as it does the exact same thing as Siri. Now their troll slaves are running like nuts on the net writing about it. Geeez Android fans are pathetic.

    1. I want to see a “Siri vs. Iris smackdown”. At this point, I refuse to believe that the 8-hour hack Iris can do everything Siri can do with its massive computing backend. From what I’ve seen, Iris is nothing more than a question-parser attached a search engine, which is a fraction of what Siri is.

Yeah, Android fanboys-slash-Apple-haters annoy the hell out of me, too. Whenever Apple innovates something, they fall all over themselves trying to denigrate the innovation as “obvious”, or “no big deal”, or “done before”, and then desperately try to find a way to do the same thing.

I think the whole scene is mostly tech-nerds who are bitter that they’re not the center of the consumer electronics universe anymore. It used to be that any new consumer electronics product would have to go through them first, as early adopters, before it would go mainstream. Apple just bypasses them by making things easy to use and understand. I think that just pisses them off.

    1. And I wonder how many people knocking Conan’s spoof have gone to an iPhone 4s at an Apple store or if they purchased one and have asked Siri a similar natured question… ie. stupid, dumb, sophomoric… just to see Siri’s reply?

  3. If I were a young happenin’ hipster that finds sarcasm for the sake of sarcasm as the higher form of wit, if I believed self-deprecation is a sure sign of intelligence and made for TV honesty, if I wasn’t tired of predictable Simpsons’ school of slapstick comedy full of cultural references du jour drops to appeal/pander to the in-crowds, if Letterman didn’t exist…
then yeah, maybe I too would have found Conan amusing (provided no one had left a gun, conveniently in my hand, to shoot myself with).
