Apple.com: ‘Macbook Pro Memory Model coming in November’

Apple’s own website shows that new MacBook Pro models are “just weeks away,” Killian Bell reports for Cult of Mac.

“If you head over to Apple’s online store and search for ‘MacBook Pro,’ you’ll be greeted by a list of Apple’s MacBook Pro-related products, including two entries for a ‘Macbook Pro Memory Model,’ which are set to ship in November,” Bell reports. “While we don’t think these are the new MacBook Pros themselves, it looks like they could be components, such as RAM upgrades.”

Bell reports, “If these are components, they traditionally ship a week or two after a new product launch, which suggests the new MacBook Pros are now right around the corner.”

  1. Eh, this seems unlikely to me. The production ramp-up before Christmas just wouldn’t have enough time if they released in November. We’d end up with shortages of stock over Christmas, which is NOT what you want if you’re trying to sell as many as possible. So I hope this isn’t true.
