“Sprint will indeed offer unlimited data plans when it starts taking iPhone orders later this week,” Ina Fried reports for AllThingsD.
“‘We will be offering the benefit of our unlimited plans that start at just $69.99,’ said spokeswoman Michelle Leff Mermelstein,” Fried reports. “print’s $69.99 plan includes unlimited data and 450 voice minutes as well as unlimited mobile-to-mobile calling. Unlimited calling and data costs $99 a month.”

Their data network stinks here(outside Houston).
Att gave twice the speed as 3G, same speed as wimax-if I could connect to wimax(it was constantly cutting out).

Please pay attention that 14 MBps speed will only work on AT&T network. The same is with simultaneous voice and data transfer.
No it won’t in reality. In fact, they state the the average DL speed ranges from 500-700 Kbps to 1.7 Mbps. Don’t look at 14 Mbps until LTE.
Last year’s iPhone 4 testing showed quite good, close to peak results in areas of strong signal. “Strong signal” part is the key, though. Lets see tests of the new phone.

That is in the US. Elsewhere in the world, 14Mbps (not MBps; nobody has 14MBps yet — that is 112Mbps!) works quite fine on many carriers that support the so-called “4G” data.
And to clarify the obvious confusion. iPhone 4S is a hybrid GSM – CDMA phone. The CDMA part will only work on EVDO-A data network, which goes at blazingly fast 1.5Mbps down (and 0.7Mbps, i.e. 700kbps up…). The GSM portion of the phone will support HSPA/UMTS, which currently goes up to 14.4Mbps.
So, on Verizon and Sprint, all you’ll ever get is at most 1.5Mbps; not all that much faster than the old EDGE.
Sprint unlimited plan does it include everything unlimited talk Tex and web unlimited for 69.99 that I am getting with HTC EVO 4g and that phone is sucks wish I can get iPhone 4s on Sprint.
Is tethering supported?
Sprint also requires a $10 premium data plan so they are more expensive than the competition. They also have a 15% add on fee to rip off customers. My Verizon feture phone is charged $1.97 surcharge. For Sprint I guess the charge would be north of $12. Moving to a Sprint IPhone would more than double my phone bill. ABSURD
I currently have three EVO’s on Sprint. I pay 129.76 a month. That is 1500 minutes, unlimited text, unlimited data. I can not make a hotspot unless I increase my bill. I enjoy Sprint very much and am excited that they are getting the IPhone and keeping with their unlimited packages!
