    1. Apple already uses ATI graphics cards in their Macs. Apple is a good business partner. Also AMD wants to defend what it believes to be it’s IP.
If these patents really do belong to AMD then Apple already licenses them when they buy ATI graphics cards. If I’m wrong and there is any more licensing to be done from AMD, I’m sure Apple and AMD can easily work this out as they have worked all together for a long time.

    1. Florien Mueller is an anti-patent douchebag, who sees nothing wrong with stealing others property…so he sees this all as Apple aggressing against innocent people who just want to make counterfeit iPhones.

      1. Nothing I have read from Mr. Mueller that had revealed him to be a douche-bag. He opposes software patents, not patents in general. I have not made up my own mind on the subject; but I recognise that he knows more on the subject than me and many readers here combined.

Finally, he has readily admitted/disclaimed that he prefers Android; however, little if anything, from his often thorough posts, indicate any personal bias against Apple.

I think the man is a professional, and he knows how to separate/leave behind any emotions and biases from facts in his professional analyses. Something worthy of emulating, maybe, for many Apple fans (and other forum champs) here and elsewhere.

        1. Agreed, F.M. is astute, thorough and professional.

Engineer’s posts on the other hand tend to be short-sighted, biased, and rash.

You tell me who the douche is…

  1. …AMD subsidiary ATI claims claims it’s the rightful owner of the patents S3 Graphics asserted against Apple in its first ITC complaint…

Interesting. Would like to see how this will develop.
