Apple sues Samsung in the UK over Android

“Apple has sued Samsung in the UK courts, further expanding the myriad countries in which it has taken legal action against the Korean manufacturer over its Android products,” David Meyer reports for ZDNet.

“The suit was filed on Monday, Samsung told ZDNet UK, explaining that it was a countersuit against action Samsung filed with the High Court in June,” Meyer reports. “Details of both suits remain sketchy, as the patents in question have not been identified in these cases.”

Meyer reports, “Apple’s UK action against Samsung takes to at least 20 the total number of patent suits between the two companies that are currently underway.”

  1. like other people – i think all the press on suing this and that will disappear and no one soon cares… however FOR ANY COMPANY to be ripped off after years of development and patents backing it — for some other company to BUILD a copycat product WHOM you made deals with – no this is not good for ANY COMPANY – for business to be dealt this way – its got to stop.

Furthermore – all companies just letting the countries who produce it cheaper to soon have this control – we might as well for get trying and give it all away – THEY WIN – right!

  2. what judge in his or her right mind is going to look at the Samsung Galaxy compared to an iPhone 3G/GS and then look at the Samsung Galaxy II versus the iPhone 4 and not conclude that Samsung is selling phones on Apple’s trade dress. Fool me once… fool me twice… don’t get fooled again.
