Regarding photos of Steve Jobs: MacDailyNews is not going to be posting them, nor are we posting links to them, so please stop sending them.
We don’t need hits that badly. We feel sorry for outfits that think they do.
Such images are not “news,” they are tasteless, classless invasions of privacy.
We know this will be ignored by the types of outlets that run such photos, but we’ll say it anyway: Steve Jobs is no longer Apple’s CEO. Leave the man alone.
I saw my Dad hours before he succumbed to cancer, and he was not the Dad I knew – emaciated and dying.
It was not a pretty sight. Damn these fucking websites/newspapers for publishing this shit.
My thoughts are with Steve and his family. X
I saw 2 pictures. Ppl should not be taking these types of pictures of course, invasion of privacy. Will say Steve looks as thoughtful and intelligent as ever. Cancer is a terrible foe and Steve has shown maximum bravery fighting it. Eventually the body simply has no more to give and fades away. I did hospice for over 3 decades and Steve has remained more vibrant longer than anybody I encountered. He has tremendous Will. When he transfers out of the physical body to heaven he will be so exultant at becoming completely whole and strong and young again! His reception will be an amazing celebration and his life review beyond extraordinary. He will never lose consciousness of his incarnation as Steve Jobs and knowing him will exert awesome influence from above.
+1
The … photo is very disturbing to me. Steve, I wish you all the best and THANK YOU SO MUCH for everything you have done. Why do great people have to get this shit and not the scumbags of the planet?
Someone commented they though the photo is fake. I don’t think so. He looked pretty frail in his last appearance. Cancer is horrible, it took most of my family, including my mom and recently my 49 year old sister.
Way to pat yourself on the back MDN! Most sites not only not posted the picture, but didn’t take the time to congratulate themselves for not doing it.
MDN is not “patting themselves on the back.” Idiots are sending them the photo, and MDN is telling them to stop, and that they aren’t going to publish it. Jerk.
APPRECIATED MDN — thanks!
I looked at the photo. The head is clearly him but the rest is fake. First, he’s wearing a dress – come on people. Next, blow it up and look at where the shirt meets his neck – clearly a crap Photoshop job.
Oh, God, I hope so. I am as always repulsed by the people who posted this- the absolute epitome of human scum.
Forget Jobs. When do we get to see photos of SteveJack? I have a free iPhone 6 prototype for Gawker if they can produce that pic! 😛
I’m sorry for my part in having sent a link. Should have read this thread first.
I don’t know about this photo. Steve has been very secretive about his health, so why in the world would he allow this photo to be taken in the first place??? Why would it be released??? Does not make sense, unless some slimy reporter took it from a far. I just think it he would be better protected.
While very sad, the photo is a very surreal evidence to Steve’s condition and I hope that he get’s to spend some good quality time with his family. The man has worked very hard for a lot of years giving the world some amazing innovations!
My prayers are with Steve and his family .. We don’t need to neck break at the site of seeing the greatest man of our time dying … It’s just so sad think you for not posting these pictures they made me sick to look at and won’t be going back to the un named disgusting site !!!
God bless Steve jobs and apple !
Thank you. It is good to see that you have the manners to afford the Steve the dignity he so justly deserves.
Bravo, MDN! I saw a pic on ABC News, which I found rather disturbing & disrespectful especially since the man just happens to be the vice-chairman & the single individual shareholder of ABC News’ parent company.
Single largest individual shareholder of ABC News’ parent company, I mean.
“We don’t need hits that badly.”
And then I clicked and commented. =(
