I know I’ve said this before, but I’ll say it again:
The future of computing is TILES!
(Yes, I’m being facetious.)
How about tiles on pinstripes….? Pinstriped tiles….?
Tilebagger.
Why is there a MacDefender add on MDN? wtf
Ha ha! OMG. Go MDN!
The question you should be asking is this: Why am I still loading banners and ads in 2011. Both firefox and Safari have extensions to block them. (and your pages load faster)
Yeah, what ads?
Don’t see it. Yet another benefit of adblocking.
Shame on all you adblocking-ites. How do you think MDN supports this site??? That’s right — with revenue it generates from ads. Instead of blocking ad, you should be clicking them. Seriously, my MDN brethren, how do you think MDN can afford to build out a new web site and create new iOS apps? I own a web development firm in the midwest, so I know what it costs, and it isn’t cheap. We need to support MDN in anyway that we can, even if that means suffering through ads. I rather like the Juicy Couture ads myself 😉
And through this thread, MDN refrained from making a pitch about not using adblockers. How classy. So I’m standing up for them, and I hope you do, too.
Nicely said, WebBunny.
…But I should add that MDN has employed frustratingly intrusive ad serving methods in the past. I have myself clicked on ads applicable to something I needed, but only the non-intrusive variety.
“38. Safari gets tabbed browsing”
Safari has had tabbed browsing for years!!!
In iOS 5.
Still waiting for that universal entertainment news blocker.
