“We are getting reports that Apple Stores are receiving packages that aren’t to be opened until Tuesday,” Seth Weintraub reports for 9 to 5 Mac.
“Perhaps they are fluffy little iClouds – or maybe new Airport adverts?” Weintraub wonders. “Or, yes, Lion and iOS 5.”

MacDailyNews Take: Hoo boy, this is goign to be a looooong weekend! (Thankfully, many Ballmer toasts await!)
Yes!
It really is fun to be a fan of Apple. Lol. For years, relatives get their Apple info from mainstream news. I’m like “didn’t you watch the keynote live?”. Hahaha. It’s fun to look forward to cool stuff.
Apple use to be so secretive, not even giving hints, leaving people to whatever rumors were circulating online. Now they just announced iCloud a week in advance and here we go with these packages, or should I say teasers, in the stores. Times change…
FYI, Apple has always done this. BTW, they have announced nothing.
They just released the iCloud name so people know that the focus of the conference will be the cloud.
Regarding Ballmer, I will never forget the picture of him holding and commenting on the first iPhone he saw.
Priceless, especially how he derisively laughed when asked about the iPhone.
And how when he claimed that it was the most expensive phone on the market (despite there being more than a dozen other more expensive ones) and Ina Fried questioned him, he just repeated more sternly with a pissed-off face, “It’s the most expensive phone on the market.”
In other words, don’t question my blatant lies.
No it isn’t slappy.
I wish I could be a tech journalist and demonstrate how to properly interview a fat slob CEO.
I would love to get Safari 6.
Exciting. Jebus, when did I become such a Fanboy?
I’ll buy my next iMac next week with ‘Lion’ installed.
And the login screen will be in Chinese.
that would be great if all the macs would be preinstalled with lion by next week, im waiting to get the new macbook air, so im dieing right now, cant wait.
Are you dieting, or dying?
LMFAO, sorry dying
It’s the boxed copies of Lion.
Calm down folks, Lion has not been through enough testing to be released yet. If mystery boxes are arriving at Apple Stores, they are probably iClouds to rain on Microsoft’s and Google’s parade.
Boxes of MobileMeCloud
It’s certainly a long weekend in the British Commonwealth. Queen’s Birthday holiday.
Why can’t someone just say it? It’s the iPhone5. Boom.
