Seth Weintraub reports for 9 to 5 Mac on a tips they’ve received from Australia:
This Saturday (21st), all Australian (at least) retail stores will under go visual merchandising from 6pm – 6am (22nd). A sheet will be raised to prevent any one seeing inside, and from 6am – 10am, all apple retail staff will participate in a compulsory meeting. Something big? VM is rarely so private, and is never followed by an all staff meeting.

“now, young Skywalker, Witness the power of this FULLY OPERATIONAL data center….”
Hm… you mispelled the name… my padawan.
The strike is to hit old Skyballmer instead…
He used to be more round than he is now a days.
During the first iPad Japan launch in 2010, the CEO of Softbank, Masayoshi Son, stood up among a crowd of adoring Apple fans with an iPad in one hand and iPhone in the other and alluded to Star Wars samurai style and said in effect that the iPad was the light saber (long samurai sword) and iPhone was the blaster (small samurai dagger).
“Luke I am your father,” said the iPad to the iPhone in Apple’s design lab.
@Macbones, let’s hope it doesn’t blow up!!
Back to School promo/training.
Curtains don’t go up for “back to school training.” Doh!
A bit premature to launch a back to school promotion before the current school year has even ended, no?
Awwww, we all know Apple is famous for forcing slave labor. This is nothing more than a coordinated plan to force all the Apple employees to move furniture and paint the stores so they can save some money. No biggie.
Since this Saturday is the Rapture, Jesus will be coming to claim His phone. Apple is just rolling out the red carpet for him, that’s all.
Steve Jobs calling Jesus on the AT&T version of the Jesus phone. “Hello, Jesus can you hear me now? It’s Christ speaking.”
Already? Boy, things sure have a habit of sneaking up on you.
It’s only been late 1000 years
The Apple New Zealand store is where it will hit first.
Where is it?
No Apple retail store in NZ yet qka. It’s possible, but unlikely, that the anniversary event will apply to NZ’s largest Apple retailer (YooBee — what an appalling name; bring back Magnum Mac), but I doubt it.
Whatever new product or service is offered on the 21st will get here eventually.
This can only mean one thing: the brown iPhone is here!
