“Three close friends who grew up together in Fresno, California have imagined a fantastical iPhone app that teaches users how to roll their own crowd pleasing, monster joints like a seasoned pro,” Ray Basile reports for iPhone Savior.
“While it’s impossible to verify how many of the 25,000 early adopters of the free Roll Your Own iPhone app are actually committed weed wranglers, one thing is certain, the early success of this instructional app may signal the start of a ‘rolling for dummies’ revolution,” Basile reports. “Nearly 1,000 people have already opted in for the three additional rolling techniques featured for $.99 as an in-app-purchase.”
Basile reports, “Roll Your Own was approved by Apple for an App Store debut on December 22, 2010.”

sorry several things.
Yeah, you’re right: there’s nothing at all wrong with Sarah Palin using crosshairs on the map, which is why I’m SURE she’ll use them again in 2012. . .
“Surveyor mark”. . . lol.
Whenever I read about another mass shooting in the US, I’m always intrigued by Americans’ response. “Why did he do it?” Was he nuts? Was it political? etc.
To me, that’s largely dodging the real question, which is, “How was he able to kill so many, so easily?”. The answer is simple. Because he had easy (and in this case, legal) access to a hand gun, a lethal weapon that has only one purpose — to kill people.
Until America acknowledges the presence of this elephant in the room, these shootings will go on and on.
@ChrissyOne. Thanks. Still doesn’t mean there’s a causality. Violent and military metaphors are widespread in public and private arenas. There’s another one: arena.
What I hope for is an appropriate response from the people we elected. This isn’t a reason to draw up *more* legislation that stomps all over the Constitution.
Here is a nice map for anyone ignorant enough to believe that crosshairs caused this.

When drowning, clinging to water doesn’t help.
I’m with Buster (and Andrew Breitbart) on this.

“I hope that’s not where we’re going, but you know if this Congress keeps going the way it is, people are really looking toward those Second Amendment remedies and saying my goodness what can we do to turn this country around?” –Nevada GOP Senate nominee and Tea Party favorite Sharron Angle, interview with right-wing talk radio host Lars Larson in Portland, OR, January 2010
@ Journo
Really? That’s all you got? A Daily Kos piece read by how many people, written by…who?
Compared to Angle and Palin’s national audience. Yeah… good one.
I never said she removed her map. I’m not quoting Daily Kos. I’m quoting Sarah Palin.
I’M NOT SAYING THE MAP CAUSED THIS. And if you read my linked article you’d understand that.
But what has happened is that this political season has become charged with violence, and it has come primarily from the Tea Party crowd, from Palin and Angle to all those gun nuts who open-carry at rallies. To say that it has nothing to do with them is just myopic denial.
“I hold it that a little rebellion now and then is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical. Unsuccessful rebellions, indeed, generally establish the encroachments on the rights of the people which have produced them. An observation of this truth should render honest republican governors so mild in their punishment of rebellions as not to discourage them too much. It is a medicine necessary for the sound health of government.” Thomas Jefferson
Let’s take everything out of context just to prove a shallow point.

A non-existant Wiki page and a fictional book… Well done!
But I’m not getting the point.
“Legalize it.
Don’t criticize it.”

Excellent point, TowerTone. . . because that map, with one symbol per state, is EXACTLY the same as using one symbol per congress person. . . exactly.
Marijuana has had a bad rap since the “Marijuana Tax Act” of the ’30s … Since then, most of the states have done nothing to set the record straight ..
California is one state that has recognized that, (at least) for some people— it is a medicine —
Now, I realize this may be a shock to a lot of people — but, I happen to know a few people, who cannot take the drugs which are pushed by doctors who probably get a kick-back from the various drug companies– and pot is the only thing that helps them ..
It’s too bad, though, that the right-wingnuts feel the need to flood every forum with their anti-liberal drivel ..
They evidently don’t realize that our country actually thrives when both sides have a voice —
Trying to silence either side would have dire consequences for
our country
ChrissyOne, etc.,
Democrat’s own “target” and bulls-eye” map
Death of a President (2006) – a film that depicts the assassination of George W. Bush, the 43rd U.S. President
Hypocrites.
@ChrissyOne, it’s a given there are 1000’s of quotes from all sides of the political spectrum that are inappropriate. But copying and pasting quotes doesn’t mean that the guy got his inspiration from anyone in particular.
Whoops!
Not Bob.
Peter.
My bad, Dudes and Dudettes.
Once again, The Gops are taking Personal Responsibility by blaming Democrats for doing the same thing.
Well done, guys.
The thing you guy aren’t getting is this…
These BIG DEMONIC DEMOCRATIC HYPOCRISIES that your lap-dog sites are digging up today have been seen by almost no one until you found them today. I’ve certainly never seen them.
But as we’ve been taught by super heroes…
“With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility” – Spider Man
“With No Power Comes No Responsibility” – Kick Ass
Think a little bit about that before you show me every little piece of trash you find.
Add fuel to the flame…
Jefferson planted marijuana. In fact “First, Jefferson ran an advanced marijuana processing facility. Second, he was a socialist.”

@ChrissyOne, you can demonstrate all the political climates and inappropriate quotes you want. The political climate certainly isn’t healthy. But, drawing a line between political rhetoric and the acts of a maniac is pretty weak.
. . . everyone is saying Laughner is a liberal, based MOSTLY on his indication that The Communist Manifesto was a favorite book (read, of course, by most educated people), and yet ignore the fact that he ALSO had We The Living, Ayn Rand’s anti-communist tome, also listed? Is it because a couple of high school acquaintances (or was it one) said so?
Regardless, the whole course of this thread has nothing whatsoever to do with the joint-rolling app, particularly since at least one old friend says that Laughner had quit smoking pot and gone quite straight laced? http://motherjones.com/politics/2011/01/jared-lee-loughner-friend-voicemail-phone-message
This murderer and would-be assassin appears to have dabbled somehow with communism, was anti-government (which, in contemporary parlance, indicates a conservative bent), and had a weird obsession with mind-control (see Alex Jones) and grammar. Left or right is irrelevant.
@ Matt.
I’m just wondering… if this isn’t enough, then what is? What would it take for people to actually come to their senses…? If Nancy Pelosi said that she had John Boehner “in her crosshairs”, and he got shot by a New Black Panther, you all would be crawling out of your skins with rage right now. Yes… you would.
What will it take before any national figure TAKES SOME BLOODY RESPONSIBILITY for what they say?
