“Civilian Internet applications now offer militant groups access to intelligence that rivals what government spies can get, Israel’s domestic security chief said on Monday,” Dan Williams reports for Reuters.
“Shin Bet director Yuval Diskin, in a rare public address, identified cyber technologies as an ascendant international security threat,” Williams reports. “‘Intelligence once enjoyed only by countries and world powers can now be obtained through Internet systems like Google Earth, Internet cameras that are deployed all over the world and linked to the Web, or applications for IPhone devices that allow for quality intelligence to be received in real-time,’ he told a homeland security conference in Tel Aviv.”

Why shouldn’t they exist? “Palestinians” (who are just Arab refugees rejected by the surrounding countries) weren’t cultivating the land or organizing civilized government prior to 1948. They could’ve participated in the building of Israel from the beginning, and currently do have a say in government, and more freedom than they would have in the surrounding Arab countries. It’s not because they had it 2000 years ago that anyone says Israel should exist–it’s because they put in the work and effort 65 years ago to build a productive country that was wasteland for the previous 2000 years.
Peace resolutions were made in the past several times with many different proposed borders, and not once were the Palestinians satisfied, nor did they make much of an effort to organize their own proper government and economy.
Even if you don’t agree to the above, you have to admit that the current situation is not an excuse for suicide bombings, shipping weapons in ambulances and taking cover in hospitals (all of which have been done by the Palestinians).

What do the Nazi’s have to do with it? The U.S. knew about the concentration camps before Pearl Harbor and still refused to enter the war until they were personally attacked. Cameras only help if those viewing the pictures care to take action based on the information they have.

Even if the cameras do expose criminals (although they would surely take steps to protect themselves, which civilians may not have the means to do), without access to the information and thus without the opportunity to act on it, exposition would not be necessary.
