Target to offer Apple’s revolutionary iPhone in 846 US stores starting Nov. 7th

Today Target announced that it will carry Apple’s revolutionary iPhone in 846 stores that include Target Mobile centers beginning Nov. 7, 2010.

Just in time for the Christmas shopping season, Target guests can select from the iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4 and receive quick in-store activation on the purchase of a new iPhone. Adding iPhone to Target Mobile centers is the latest offering to guests of the full mobile technology experience.

“At Target we continue to offer our guests the best in electronics so we’re happy to add iPhone to our Target Mobile offerings,” said Mark Schindele, senior vice president, merchandising, Target, in the press release. “With expert support from Target Mobile specialists and in-store activation, our guests will be able to leave the store with a new, working iPhone3GS or iPhone4 in-hand.”

In addition to receiving the latest cell phones, accessories and data plans at Target Mobile centers, guests can utilize Target’s Electronics Trade-In service which will allow guests to trade-in used cell phones, MP3 players, video games and more for credit towards any purchase at Target. Target Mobile centers are currently available in 846 Target locations nationwide and will be rolling out to most Target stores by mid-2011.

Minneapolis-based Target Corporation currently has 1,752 stores in 49 states nationwide.

  1. If apple intends to compete next year with more androids and WIN 7 phones they are going to have to do like they did with the ipod. MAKE SEVERAL MODELS. 1 size does not fit all in cell phones any more then it does with MP3 players.

im not talking fold out plastic keyboards im saying we need maybe a 4in screen model and the current one and then maybe a smaller model or something.

They are going to lose ground if they only make 1 model.

glad to see it in Target i figured as much would be soon since the ipad was there now with ipods.

  3. @ ilovemymac, You obviously don’t love your mac, because if you did, you would realize that Apple inc. stopped competing with its rivals in 2007. That was the year in which all tech companies started competing against Apple inc.
