HP’s forthcoming Windows 7 slate leaks (with video)

A video that appears to be of HP’s forthcoming Windows 7 tablet has been leaked, or trial-balooned, via YouTube:

MacDailyNews Take: If this is the real deal and they actually release that piece of crap, HP’s in even more disarray than we suspect. The only thing Apple has to fear from HP’s Windows 7 tablet is death by excessive laughter.

“iPad failure” was the title all over the internet way way back in January. People couldn’t understand how anyone would not just buy a netbook.

The thing that gets me is SJ has shown other companies what people want and what sells. But, the idiots still do not understand that you can’t just try to port W7 over to a tablet. It has to be an OS built for touch.

    No apps, crappy UI equals crash and burn ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”smile” style=”border:0;” />

  3. I like how he started his comedy routine, by repeatedly telling us how fast this thing was booting up, contrasted with the video of how slowly it was booting up.

This kid’s got a future in the entertainment industry..

  5. Wow, some people that are so used to Windows’ horrible performance that 30 sec+ startup time seems fabulous. I know I wish i could get Vista to startup in 30 sec, let alone a minute or more. I love how they try to cram Windows 7 into a touch device. Instant fail, does HP not realize why Windows tablets sucked before? Idiots. I love the “3 finger salute” button, how quaint.

  7. Unbelievable how the scrolling of the webpage simply does not work. It either triggers links or highlights text, but no or very little scrolling…

This device is wrong in so many ways that it really does not warrant even making it out of the R&D Lab at HP.

  9. amazing. the lemmings will love it. I think what we have here is a case of a decent piece of hardware (lets be fair) and how it was crippled by a bit of trashy software and firmware….

  10. Did you guys catch the shot at the iPhone? At 1:58, he says,

“Sorry about the video quality. I’m recording on my iPhone.”

My iPhone takes great video. Not sure what this jackass is talking about.
