Why would I buy anything but an iPod. Every gym has iPod compatible equip and everything is made for iPod. Other then headphones I have yet to see anything for any other mp3 player.

troll didn’t read the article. The author makes no claims of knowing exactly what is occurring but is instead encouraging investigation. Nowhere in the article does it mention whether affected phones were jailbroken or not. Nor does he identify any vector causing the SMS messages he describes.

No problem there. If it ships with no mic, there will most certainly be an addon from Gryphon or other to provide that functionality. The Apple Peel 520, discussed here yesterday, will no doubt either work out of the box or be refitted. The result is an iPod Touch cell phone.

WHAT I WANT is a STEREO MICROPHONE! In this day and age I want to be able to record the real world for my two real world ears. No mono no more! Sick of it. HiFi stereo mics for everyone!
