Hitler reacts to the iPhone 4 antenna issues (with video)

The P.R. hits to Apple and iPhone 4 just keep on coming, no end in sight:

Hitler Reacts to the iPhone 4 Antenna Issues

Apple P.R.’s “oh, it’ll all blow over” (otherwise known as “The Tiger Woods”) ahem, “strategy” might just be in need of a rethink.

Anyone have any ideas what Apple could do to get out ahead of this issue, take control of the message, and stop the “Newtonization” of iPhone 4?

  1. What Apple should do? Make a commercial targeted on superiority of their antenna. Right in the face of all those no iPhone owning geeks. Commercial would show two geeks with phones. One with Apple, one with Android. They would walk toward the camera while talking on their phones. Background voice would explain that Apple’s antenna strength is it’s combination of unique design combined with reception strengthening software. In right and left top corners there would be enlarged reception indicators shown for each phone. Apple’s would last longer while Android’s caller would drop of the picture at one point completely in almost cartoon style as he would fall into the hole in the ground.

  2. Being a bit simple here, but couldn’t they simply do a public test with a group of phones to show same/varying/similar issues?

If the iPhone really does stick out, then yep – fix it fast.

  3. One thing about that clip….
    Bruno Ganz is incredible!

According to Godwin’s Law, as soon as Nazis or Hitler are brought up in an argument, that side has lost.

It’s like our own pocket Goebbels, Glenn Beck, continually comparing the left (or anyone he disagrees with) to 1930’s Germany. The difference there is that it only proves that he completely lost it years ago.

As for the video… Funny subtitles. Bad translation. Stalin’s troops advancing on Berlin? Google vs. Apple? Der Führer might be on to something there. ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”tongue wink” style=”border:0;” />

  4. Oh no! iPhone 4 models are accumulating dust on store shelves worldwide because of the dreaded antenna flaw… Ahhh NOT! You dumb asses, nice try anyway!

The Apple Juggernaut is unstoppable despite Mr. Smithers sleeze tactics to steal Apples thunder.

There always I’ll be the real and the fake,

    Thanks Google!

  5. Maybe apple is just helping us get off the idea that we need phones to communicate? We’ve been on the phone trend a little too long now… So now we get to roll into the next wave of communication and steve jobs wanted to point us in the right direction and open our eyes a little to the future.

  6. Apple has really stepped on there own crank this time…It seems like every product release is flawed by some fairly significant issue. Trying to hire engineers to fix a problem after the fact really looks dumb on there part as well. It sure makes you wonder if they’ve reached the “Peter principle” level for a business.

  7. Honestly, how actually has an iPhone 4 and perceives this to be a huge issue? Personally, It has not affected me. Quite the contrary, it has better reception than the models before it. This is Gizmodo, Nokia, Motorola, HTC and others attempting to stop the blood bath. Yes, if I grab the phone in a certain way, the bars will lower, but I am still to drop a call.

  8. Apple and Jobs walked right into it with this one.

Not sure how they will get control of all of this bad press…..

Hopefully they figure out something soon.

  9. Ever think they are working on something? Maybe they just want to test the firmware update b4 it goes out that way it will have been tested for a couple days, so all the babies out there will be satisfied.

  10. For what it is worth, yesterday a friend and I conducted an experiment to test our two iPhone’s (both iPhone 4) connections. He could never get his iPhone 4 to show a loss of signal and I can do it any time I want. We talked for over an hour without dropping our call. About 80 percent of the time I would hold it in such a way that would result in my getting only one bar. I would let it go to more bars from to time in order to test the call quality, which did not seem to vary.
