“OnLive at the D8 conference demoed its streaming game service running on the iPad,” Electronista reports.
“The remote play interface works “great” on an iPad and was shown running the action RPG Borderlands where many of the PCs at the conference wouldn’t have the power to run it properly,” Electronista reports. “Videos also work properly, and a Harry Potter movie clip played without lag between the movie and its audio.”

How is this possible without Flash?!?!
I have a better question…
How is this possible with Flash?!?!
I guess it is WiFi only unless you want to mortgage your house to pay AT&T;
Another step in the evolution of iPad functionality. Another nail in the coffins of would-be competitors.

I came here to say this.
“Another step in the evolution of iPad functionality. Another nail in the coffins of would-be competitors.”
this technology will likely work with other tablets as well as netbooks. That is what is great about OnLive. It allows games to play on anything with a screen and a net connection.
I’m a little perturbed about AT&T;too.
And I’m not buying their spin.
If it was truly to make data more affordable, they would offer the new plans in addition to the unlimited plan, not in place of it.
I still have the original iPhone, and I plan to upgrade to the next model when it becomes available.
I wonder if they’ll let me upgrade, and stay unlimited.
I know they are allowing 3G users to do so, but what happens to those of us with unlimited plans who want to upgrade to 3G?
Upgrading your phone shouldn’t effect your plan at all. Its just extending your current one
Just talked to AT&T;and you are grandfathered in if you currently have an unlimited data plan.
Not really on topic, but couldn’t help myself — go to allthingsd.com and watch the “D8 Video: The Dell Streak Mini-Tablet”. Stupidity is like entropy, it never goes down.

$15 dollars a month for a fucking game? get real.
damn… thats a bit steep… atleast make it more competitive like $50 a year or something equivalent to xbox live pricing… especially since its a mobile device.. not some huge data hogging platform system.
