“Apple’s international fan base greeted the iPad in nine countries Friday morning with the usual hoopla — albeit in different accents and with various degrees of self control,” Philip Elmer-DeWitt reports for Fortune.

Canadians,
Every Mac dealer in Western Canada, at least, has iPads in stock. Furure Shop had the rights to advertise that but no one else did. If you didn’t line up and you still want one, head to your nearest Apple reseller.
Where is Sweden? 🙁
That’s Future Shop to everyone else.
The line up at the new Southgate Edmonton Store was about 500 people, at the 8 am opening, and the line hasn’t decreased! More and more just keep joining. The Genius Bar was loaded with iPads. Lot’s of local news coverage (3 TV stations, and a couple radio) so local news should be interesting tonight.

As a very minor Apple shareholder, I am very disappointed over the iPad flop. I feel the need to sue Apple, SJ, and every manufacturer of iPad components! ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”tongue wink” style=”border:0;” />
Please continue with your delusions, Ballmer and company. The best consumer electronics leverage Apple operating systems – Mac OS X and its little cousin, the iPhone OS.

Even worse I can’t buy the book in Canada. My kids were looking forward to it,now what do I tell them.
I think Germany is shown because it is the largest country in Europe and Germans have awesome buying power globally.
The iPad 3G is sold out in Spain and there are very few wi-fi units remaining.
