The Official Twitter of Microsoft Corporate Communications has stated:
Steve Ballmer not speaking at Apple Dev Conf. Nor appearing on Dancing with the Stars. Nor riding in the Belmont. Just FYI.

MacDailyNews Take: They can’t even name Twitter accounts succinctly. Meanwhile, Trip Chowdhry, if there’s no Microsoft presentation at WWDC (even w/o Monkey Boy), you’ve got some ‘splainin’ to do!
As per MDN reader Mark Armstrong below, if Chowdhry got his “info” from this April Fool’s Joke article, he should change his name to Chowderhead.
[UPDATE: 5:45pm EDT: Chowdhry Says He Was Wrong; No Ballmer At WWDC]
[Thanks to MacDailyNews Reader “The Mac FAQs” for the heads up.]
What would he say if he WERE there? What could he have offered?
A development platform that has helped create IE-only websites (despite IE being long discontinued on the Mac)?
A table-sized upgrade for iPhone and iPod touch users?
A seven minute look at Ballmer balling?
@ ChrissyOne,
“I heard that he will be Lance’s team-mate in the Tour de France this year.”
There’s a dynamic pair. I don’t know about bicycle racing but they would make good jugglers. It would be easy work for them since there is only one ball between the two of them.
Not to mention their history of doping.

It used to be “The Official Twitter of Microsoft Corporate Communications Series Edition”
@ChrissyOne: “…Lance’s team-mate in the Tour de France…”
He could just take the down-hill legs of the race…
It’s what he’s been accustomed to lately.
@ Big Al
No, but there would be two nuts.
They may be #3 on that list, but I will always think of them as #2. (Or at least, a brown Zune.)
Maybe the spot was taken over by Dan Hesse, explaining the iPhone data plans.
I don’t want to rag on anyone here, or anywhere else for that matter, but why did ANYONE take this seriously? Have we learned to leave common sense behind and just believe anything some blow hard blog rag writer passes.
What possible motivation would here have been for Balmer to show up at WWDC? I hate him too, but I have to believe he would never be stupid enough to show up in person, nah, didn’t believe it.
The Twit tweet says so. Now what it don’t say is that he’s not going to show up as a special guest via iChat or Skype (New iPhone feature.)
MS news flash…Mr. Ballmer will not be appearing at WWDC because he has a previous engagement, one that he’s more suited to.
He’s making a new commercial for SHAMWOW!
But if not Balmer and MS does present who—
Oh no, NOT ROZ HO! Please no!!!!
Hard to a Master Presenter making room for the Monkey Boy and his flying chairs. These silly rumors…well, they’re just plain stupid.
M$ market cap: 227.86B
Apple market cap: 230.53B
Don’t need no stinkin’ Ballmer!
Whew! I’m glad he’s not riding in the Belmont. Was sweating for the horses a while there.
Google probably fixed the Belmont stakes anyway, like Schmidt had joked about manipulating the Stock Market. That mystery drop couple weeks ago wasn’t an accident, just a alpha training run.
Me lik’em.

I heard the monkey boy was going to have a rectalcrainectomy to get his head out of his butt and couldn’t make the WWDC.
Magic word “find” as in he can’t find his head because it’s up his butt.
“Oh no, NOT ROZ HO! Please no!!!!”
Roz isn’t in the MacBU anymore, so I doubt it’d be her.
I remember seeing her speak years ago. I don’t know if it’s a speech impediment or what, but she sounded really drunk.
Of course, if I were a Microsoftie speaking at a Mac event, I’d probably get good and wasted before I went on stage.
We love to bash Microsoft to a pulp until they become irrelevant. Now I pity all those Microsofties that are still on the sinking Titanic struggling to understand what hit them so forcefully.
I just made my wife throw up showing her the monkey dance video!
Who’s the moron who started this rumor. Oh, it was that Trip Chowdhry guy…
As improbable as having Steve Ballmer on the WWDC keynote stage would have been, it was even more ridiculous to imagine him demo’ing or even describing Microsoft’s development tools. But it would have been an appropriate place to do an encore to the “monkey dance.”
I recall Bill Gates making a live video appearance those many years ago, at a Macworld keynote soon after Steve Jobs came back to save Apple. Bill Gates’s face was huge on the big presentation screen, looking like “big brother.” That was a classic moment in Apple history… Some of the things Steve Jobs said that day seemed quite improbable.
Ballmer at WWDC.
BWAHAHAHAHA!
Steve Ballmer not speaking at Apple Dev Conf. Nor appearing on Dancing with the Stars. Will appear on Chair Throwing Championship. Just FYI.
Damnit, now what am I supposed to do with this case of rotten tomatoes?!
And this is Galen Gruman’s closing advice in an open letter to Steve Ballmer:
—————————————————————————————–
“So, Steve, you need to hit a home run — actually, you need to hit it out of the park — for the Christmas holidays. After that, your only real chance is for Android to implode under the weight of too many variations or — for Apple to lose Steve Jobs and thus interrupt the driving force behind its band of killer designers. —-Counting on someone else’s misfortune is not a likely path to victory.”
——————————————————————————————-
Unbelievable, inhuman callousness. The worst most obscene thought expressed publicly, that I have ever seen. Something needs to be done to this evil, self-serving moron.

@’chano’: Yeah, but what is Microsoft but a lazy cheater, ever conniving to find a way around actually competing in the marketplace.
Sounds a bit like the BizTards that caused the ongoing Bush Depression, eh? It’s the spirit of the age. That’s one thing that makes Apple continue to be remarkable. It’s a serious capitalist contender that never thinks ‘in the box’.
These days ‘the box’ is an outhouse full of BizTard BS, and a lot of those Tards have ‘MBA’ after their name.
