MacDailyNews Take: If the fact that the newly-iPadified MacDailyNews app (version 2.2, released April 24*) didn’t make FOX News’ top five list doesn’t blow your mind, then, for some people, NPR’s presence might do the trick. wink

MacDailyNews Note: A reminder: As with the iPhone, Notifications are handled in the Settings app. Settings>Notifications>MDN will let you control Sounds, Alerts, and Badges.

*We are working on smoothing out a few things for 2.2.1. Thank you for the feedback!

  1. “If the MSM were liberal they’d be investigating things like how the official story for 9/11 doesn’t add up.”

So you are saying that Liberals are stupid?
    Even I don’t believe that one….

  2. I think “Figurative” is literally a nasty-mouthed ignorant slut, speaking of “slimy.” And Fox “news,” weather, or commentary has zero credibility with me no matter how much they praise Macs. I despise them and I’ve said it before, I don’t frequent this site to be reminded of politics and the idiots who believe their mouths are immune from their brains’ manure leakage.

**** technology, you wanna make this a political forum? Change the name- or not- but be careful what you wished for.

Let’s avoid words like Fox, Liberal, Obama, Palin, Pelosi…. you get the point. I’M SICK TO DEATH OF THIS POLITICAL BS EVERYWHERE I TURN! START YOUR OWN SITE- THIS IS NOT THE TIME OR PLACE FOR THAT STUPIDITY! I am embarrassed to be among Mac and Apple people and have to read the same brain-dead, ignorant, divisive, distracting obnoxiousness. Why bother coming here- I can go to PC World for such stimulation!

I’m SICK SICK SICK OF THIS!!! CAN WE PLEASE STAY ON TOPIC?!

I hate both sides of the political spectrum. Both sides a full of smit. I watch both sides trying to get something from both.

I saw a leader of hillary clintons staff when she wanted to run for president say that fox news had the fairest representation of their views than any other source. So idiots like the above named guy are the haters, and closed minded idiots that start all the division in this world. Truly cluless.

I live in minnesota and at the Welstone funeral almost any car that had republican bumper stickers on it had its door kicked in at a $1000 + damage each. You would NEVER NEVER see a thing happen to any democratic car at a republican funeral.

That incident and a couple other with the same out come make me question the liberal side even though I have some very liberal social views. I find the liberal side very very childish and smart by a half and filled with hate while saying republicans are filled with hate.

I always seem to find the opposite. The above poster should stop hating and quit being a political dump ass. ( smart by a half)

  4. Conservatives that knee-jerk hate on NPR must not listen to it very much. Otherwise, they might learn why liberals are listening to it less every year: because it’s gotten more conservative! It’s to be expected — when you’re dependent on the federal government for a significant portion of your funds (via the Corporation for Public Broadcasting), and that government spent most of this century moving to the right, you have to shift to the right yourself to keep the funds flowing.

Really, this idea that NPR is this left-wing haven is a fantasy based on out-of-date information.

  5. @MadMac
POP! Whew…what’s that smell? There’s conservatism in the air! The sound bites are everywhere and tax cuts are nipping at my heels even as we attack Iraq to secure those weapons of no existence. Must be a Fox News day…

    Satisfied?

Oh, sorry, I forgot to whine.

  6. @LordRobin
Thou knowest not of which they speakest. The Fed is fourth on the list of NPR contributors behind private citizens, industry, and academia. Of course, you would know that if you were actually a contributor to a *real* news organization. That very question was included in NPR’s online survey for contributors.

NPR is an organization of which true conservatives should approve. Paid for by private citizens on a pay-as-you-go basis with little government support.

  7. MDN pls add REAL Offline Caching instead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like most other news Apps. Why should I have to save all articles I would want to read offline. You called it Offline Mode when you added it but it was NOT Offline Mode. It was just a simple feature to save articles….

    Add REAL Offline Mode!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
