    Something didn’t sound quite right in your post, so I checked the site. The only Flash content there is advertising, and a tiny section under one tab (‘Videos’). Everything else seems to be Flash-less.

    I wouldn’t be surprised if the ‘Videos’ section quickly gets re-done in HTML5.

  2. In general, Oprah tends to reach an audience that good parts of mainstream advertising misses. In addition, her plugs for a product are extremely powerful; while a lot of her audience is in the lower income bracket, many end up following her plugs and getting things they can’t afford (or don’t quite need) because he plugged them on her show.

    Kindle was an excellent example. She did a massive plug on it, and the device took off, against all odds. If she does anything even remotely as enthusiastic for iPad as she did for the Kindle, an entire new segment of the addressable market will burst right open.
