I purchased mine at BestBuy because of of Reward Zone membership. The purchase should garner me a nice 10 buck coupon back.
I managed to waltz into my BestBuy at 5:30 in the afternoon to pick my 64Gig iPad up. No lines, no clapping, no crowds. It was as easy as swinging by a deli and picking up milk. Much more expensive of course….
Our local BB sold out three times on Saturday. They received three separate shipments and sold all of them each time.

Unpleasant as biteme and his message may be, the problem with the antenna(?) or signal(?) or SOMETHING is #1 on Apple’s iPad hit list. Over a hundred tickets opened! That’s one for every ~2,500 sold.
The iPad has several “weaknesses” when compared even to a weak netbook. Those were planned. Those let you gain several bonuses that kick the best netbook to the curb. But without your connectivity, you lose much of those benefits.
This will be fixed. By v2.0 at the latest.
The wi-fi problem will be fixed via a software update before the end of April. It’s not a hardware issue.
