Would-be ‘Mac cloner’ Psystar owes Apple $75,000 in bankruptcy proceedings

Would-be Mac cloner “Psystar already owes Apple $75,000, documents from the former’s bankruptcy proceedings indicate,” MacNN reports.

“Although Apple and Psystar have been engaged in a bitter a legal dispute surrounding Mac clones, no final judgments have been made, which may make it unlikely that Psystar owes its challenger legal fees,” MacNN reports.

“It is thought that the company may instead owe Apple for copies of Mac OS X Leopard, which in many cases were bought directly from Apple,” MacNN reports. “$75,000 could translate into several hundred copies of Leopard at the $129 retail price.”
