“A series of images making the rounds on the Internet this week as ‘leaked’ screenshots of an upcoming Nike+ application for the iPhone and iPod touch are not authentic,” AppleInsider reports.
“The application depicted in the shots, which shows off touch-based interface for managing runs and workouts tied to Nike’s $30 Nike+iPod Sport Kit, is neither the work of Apple nor the athletic shoe maker, several people familiar with Nike+ initiative say,” AppleInsider reports.
“While Apple and Nike are indeed working to bring the Nike+ experience to Apple’s touch-based handhelds sometime in the future, it may be some time before that application sees the light of day,” AppleInsider reports.

Not to be a heel, but so many ran with it anyway. There was no sole source.

And the gaping hole that is Ampar’s absence expands apace.
Other than that, Nice one Nick!!!
I’m usually pretty straight laced, but I’m tongue tied over this one. Who is gonna foot the bill for the wasted time spent on this junk. I want to sock someone.
Come on, people! Don’t kick yourself over this.
Whomever designed the interface should get kicked in the face… its looks horrid.
I knew something smelled foul.
I won’t stand for this!
Come on people, get in the race and get your pun’s a’running. If you’re going for pun’s, just do it.
“it may be some time before that application sees the light of day”
They’re still untangling the strings for the meta-toetags and waiting for someone to foot the bill.
Tread lightly with your comments, people, or you might get the boot.

Just a quick note – with Nike headquarters in Beaverton Oregon (and Nike’s EMEA headquarters in Hilversum Netherlands) and Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, it’s very very unlikely that the alpha and beta versions of the new Nike+ would be in French.
Jeesh! First Bigfoot! Now this! Next it will be that China didn’t block Apple. Just another hoax!
LOL!
Whoever wrote whomever stuck his foot in it.
Hey, I guess if Nike can get the PR benefit of producing a really cool Iphone app by merely leaking fake screenshots of a really cool Iphone app, more power to them. I’m sure they will save a bundle on programming. Now that they’ve seen the reaction, maybe they’ll actually make it.
