Apple includes Chinese handwriting recognition in iPhone 2.0 Beta

“Apple has quietly included handwriting recognition for Chinese (Traditional and Simplified) into the latest iPhone Firmware 2.0 beta. When you select Chinese input, you are given the option to use handwriting recognition allowing you to draw characters on the screen with your finger. As you write the character, four possibilities appear on the right side of the screen,” Arnold Kim reports for Mac Rumors.

“There is no support for English at this time,” Kim reports.

  1. Vrlo zanimljivo; kad sam video tekst na kineskom, ruskom, arapskom i finskom, pomislio sam da je neko na duhovit način pokušao da na svom maternjem jeziku doda svoj komentar na članak. Kratak skok na sajt za prevod (našeg omiljenog pretraživača) i shvatim da tekstovi nemaju nikakve veze sa člankom (vesti o olimpijskoj baklji, nasilju na bliskom istoku, štrajku u Rusiji…). Ako već pišete na svom maternjem jeziku, potrudite se bar da to dodate svoj komentar, a ne da jednostavno kopirate tuđ tekst.

    Pitam se da li će novi telefon imati podršku za srpski jezik?

    And in the end, I wonder how many here understood that! Oh, and by the way, as for the contributions in Arabic, Chinese and Russian, it would have been much more meaningful if you had written something related to the text here, rather than copy/pasting news…
