“CES has no shortage of displays. And when MAKE offered us some TV-B-Gone clickers to bring to the show, we pretty much couldn’t help ourselves. We shut off a TV. And then another. And then a wall of TVs. And we just couldn’t stop,” Brian Lam reports for Gizmodo.

Maybe because it’s Friday evening and we’re getting silly, but we can’t stop laughing when watching this video! (We’ve probably been to far too many trade shows; anything to break the monotony – especially at the pointless, overkill CES – is always welcome.) Plus, this is just so Woz-like, it’s like a tribute to the Apple co-founder!
Gizmodo is going straight to tech hell.

Unexpected, yes. Funny? Not sure, what was the punch line, when the tv went off? Or them filming it? That one guys reaction was funny, you can tell he’s got talent.
You heard it here first–SymmantecAfee will introduce intrusion prevention solutions maximized to leverage existing off-site infrared technologies…
“Comedy is when it happens to someone else.
Tragedy is when it happens to you.”

Funny in the occasional booth, but shutting off a presentation?
Those of you who think that’s funny, then let’s shutdown your website during a massive rollout of a new product.
I hope he gets sued.
Did hear he was banned for life now. HA HA, that’s funny.
You guys forget that Gizmodo are the buttheads who spread false rumors about Apple. Laugh though you will, it’s clear that the asshats who run Gizmodo have no professional ethics. As others pointed out here, CES is a huge show for these businesses. Trade shows are often the bulk of new business leads that any company gets, and to be interrupted like this could be devastating to them.
There is a time and place for everything. But these jerks lack common sense. I hope their site gets hacked and shut down, that they can’t get products to review, and that life becomes hell for them. They deserve it.
Am I the only one who finds it hypocritical that the Goo Goo Ga Ga Gizmodo pre-school pranksters had so much fun with the very device they ripped to shreds in an earlier review?

“I hope their site gets hacked and shut down, that they can’t get products to review, and that life becomes hell for them. They deserve it.”
Yeah, and they wake up in the middle of the night cause they’re really thirsty from eating too many Cheetos while playing video games and downloading porn and it turns out there was a water main break and they have no water and they already drank all of their Mountain Dew and they are so parched that they drink out of the toilet bowl but they forgot about that blue stuff in there and they puke all over the place and say screw it and decide to go back to bed but they stub their toe on the night stand and it hurts reeeeally bad. Those stupid bastards.
ProtoDAda,
“karma is a bitch.”
Yeah, just ask Zune Tang. He married her.
But I think he was just enamored with Karma Electra’s fake hooters.
He didn’t care that she has been to bed with everyone from Prince to Shoeshine. No, not Shoeshine Melon Chitlin, the old blind blues singer. I mean Shoeshine the beagle who played Underdog. And God only knows what kind of creepy crawly bugs he is carrying.
Not Shoeshine, I mean Prince. Yuck!
A new low for professional news reporters – or whatever they want to call themselves. Gizmodo should be banned from future technology events having created nothing but ill feelings. It is one thing for some idiot to perform this stunt it is quite another thing that an approved news media outlet to have carried this nonsense out.
I hope the companies that were damaged sue Gizmodo. I believe they have a cause of action for recovery for this malicious vandalism. It should be a pretty easy case to make since the idiots at Gizmodo have provided video evidence and give credit by name to the perpetrators.
Hey Apple, you’ll want to go ahead a cancel any Macworld invite to Gizmodo, lest you be subjected to their jackassery.
This was completely unfunny, and I’m surprised/disappointed that so many people here find it acceptable.
Fooling around with a TV set like Woz did in his Apple days is a harmless prank. Disrupting someone’s presentation – upon which someone’s livelihood may depend on – in the midst of a business event is the work of an asshole.
sorry when I heard about it I was outraged…when I saw the video I laughed hard. Can’t help it. it is what it is. I have no choice but to give them kudos, while accepting the fact that they will need to look for alternate employment.
lol @ LorD176. Truth is simply a jackass. You know those third worlders and their fancy dial up accounts.
