Analyst predicts Apple will sell 3 million iPhones, 30 million iPods in holiday quarter

Blackfriars’ Marketing co-founder Carl Howe is projecting that “Apple will sell about three million iPhones during the holiday season.”

Howe writes, “And while the iPhone revenue spread over 24 months may pale next to the revenue blowout driven by 30 million iPods, those iPhone sales will be raking in a millions in deferred revenue in subsequent quarters. Think of the iPhone as the gift that keeps on giving all year long — at least to Apple shareholders.”

  1. I don’t get it. You can get a Motorola Q for $99 and it runs Windows mobile, yet this Howe moron thinks people are going to buy 3 million proprietary Apple I-Phones for $399 each.

How can he call himself an analyst? Why can’t he see that consumers will catch on to saving money and enjoying Microsoft’s customer-focused innovation and ease-of-use in a multitude of mobile phone manufacturers products. For you MAC lemmings it’s called choice. Check it out sometime.

    Your potential. Our passion.™

  2. I love the smell of my AAPL shock certificates.
It’s like printing my own money these days.

Wonder if Apple will do a 1 for 2 split after the first of the year or if they’ll just pull a Google and let the share price ride on the express train to the stratosphere. Either way green means GO!

  3. Thats awesome. iPhone sales will rocket once 3rd party apps starts to show up. iPod Touch are selling like crazy. I love how the Apple ads actually shows you the actual operation of the iPhone and Touch. Unlike those commercials for Verizon/Sprint/BB/HP, they blah blah blah blah blah and shows you fancy graphics to say they can do amazing things. Yeah… why don’t they actually show it like the iPhone and iPod Touch commercials? They can’t, because its crap. So their are stuck with blah blah blah blah blah and show more fancy graphics…

  4. Zune Tang, you are amazing.

Windows Mobile is proprietary. Can a Motorola Q application run on a Palm Treo running Windows Mobile? Plus, Apple is coming out with it’s developer’s kit in about 3 months.

Ah, phones that freeze. Phones that drop calls. Phones that look like a mullet out of the 80s? Yeah. I like those choices as well.

  5. Yeah, yeah.

    That’ll be big news!

  6. I think ZuneTang/MacDude or whatever he calls himself nowadays is impressing himself that he’s learned how to use special keyboard symbols like “™” and “®.”

Really Mr. Tang Dude, it’s no big deal.

  7. Please note that henceforth and forever more, anytime any of us us the phrase Zune Tang®, either in a derogatory or complementary fashion, or in any fashion what-so-ever, we’ll need to send $0.25 in royalties, on behalf of Zune Tang®, to Monkey Boy®, c/o Microsoft® Redmond, WA.
