  1. Just wondering…IF a split were to happen.

If one were to buy some AAPL, wld it be better to buy before or after a split?

    Seriously, can somebody enlighten me? Thanks! ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”grin” style=”border:0;” />

  2. Iin terms of market value, a stock split is technically meaningless – twice as many shares at one-half of the former price. However, investors generally view stock splits as a sign of a company’s strength and likelihood for further growth. After all, the stock in question did appreciate enough to reach a valuation that drove discussion of a stock split.

In addition, the lower price reduces the entry level to buy a round lot (100 shares) of the company by a factor of two. This may encourage additional investment that could drive the stock higher.

    That’s a layperson’s view of stock splits.
