Apple’s Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard shames Microsoft’s Windows Vista

“I can tell you that – with my limited exposure to the latest Leopard beta – OS X 10.5 is a far more user friendly, home network happy, 64-bit operating system for consumers than Windows Vista (even with SP1) could ever hope to be. This isn’t a classic ‘Apple vs Microsoft’ argument so much as it’s a ‘Windows vs Users’ one,” Chris Pirillo writes.

“To switch or not to switch… is becoming less of a question. Yesterday’s arguments simply DO NOT APPLY,” Pirillo writes.

  1. Oh come on. People all over the world know that Vista is way better than OSX! Just look at the numbers…MS has sold 10’s of, of, of, well, 10’s of Dozens of copies now to end users! I am sure that once people see the new Apple version of OSX, the billion copies of Vista- still sitting in crates and stock piled, will start flying off the shelves…granted, it might be to make more room for OSX, but who’s counting anyway!

  2. The first versions of Internet Explorer were based on Mosaic, which was developed on the Mac.

Leopard doesn’t need to go to all the trouble of shaming Vista; Vista is quite capable of shaming itself. For example, the WGA debacle.

  3. I must say. Mac’s are simply the best. I am a New Zealander living in Asia and I have just bought my first mac, and WOW I am impressed. I just bought the MB061 to learn on . But wow I have had this machine a few days and I will never go back to another. the operating system is so good and easy to use. and the service at apple stores are amazing. we are buying another two for our home and office. I just sold my 7 month old HP pavilion because of so many problems with it, and also to get after service is impossible. They tell you to take it to where I bought it which was in another country and they lead me around for more than a month. So i got that pissed off with HP I sold It for a dollar and got a Macbook.

    Cheers Apple…

    One Very Happy Customer.
