Apple releases AirPort Extreme Update 2007-004

Apple today released AirPort Extreme Update 2007-004.

The Update is recommended for all Intel-based MacBook, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini computers and improves the reliability of AirPort connections.

AirPort Extreme Update 2007-004 is available via Software Update and also as a standalone installer.

Mac OS X 10.4.10 required.

  1. Seriously, this presumably fixes the airport-induced kernel panics that about 10,000 folks have been whining about on the Apple support forums (not that I’ve had them on my MBP).

    Also, my toaster now toasts quicker.

    That’s good news. I’ve had a couple of those airport related kernel panics on my MB. Not that I was whining about it, but KP’s give me the creeps.

  3. I’m in the process of reinstalling OS X because the panics caused one-too-many complete system freezes and damaged some files. Imagine booting, but the system shutting itself down after about 5 seconds.
