“Apple on Tuesday afternoon began informing a select group of developers that it plans at least one more maintenance update to its Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger operating system ahead of October’s planned release of Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard,” Slash Lane reports for AppleInsider.
“Since developers have yet to received the first pre-release seeds of the software update, details outside of the version numbering — Mac OS X 10.4.11 — are few and far between,” Lane reports.

Oh, all right: “This One Goes to 11.”
New iMac drivers, I bet.
New iLife 08 components
Please excuse this off subject post. Does anyone know how to uninstall QuickTime 7.2 and install QT 7.0?
Was there a change list with the update you guys downloaded? Could you post it, please?
“Since developers have yet to received . . .”
What kind of weird ass subject-verb duchy did this keep caming from?
Future past perfect land?
“Does anyone know how to uninstall QuickTime 7.2 and install QT 7.0?”
Besides an archived reinstall of OS X?
You’re way off. This update will active the multitouch built in to our mouse pads. Can’t wait…come on AAPL.
Here is hoping it fixes kernal panics on MacBook Pros.
Shiva,
Check this link: http://macfixit.com/
There is an article on Uninstalling Quicktime 7.1
Oops, Quicktime 7.2
Couldn’t they have just made it go to 10 but sound the same as 11?
10.4.11? I haven’t even installed 10.4.10 on all my computers, yet.
Now I have to install a new knob on my Mac. One that goes up to 11.
<sigh>
Stonehenge: where the Druids built Vista…
Sorry, couldn’t help but Tap the (big) bottom of the barrel
I’m gonna hold out till 10.4.good buddy.
Roger that.
The number of fixes shouldn’t be a big surprise here. Apple is having so many problems with the iphone that they don’t have the resources to fix the ever increasing mountain of operating system bugs Too bad that Apple can’t compete with real smart phone companies like RIM that have fantastic push technology. Heck, you can’t even use the iphone as a tethered modem or use the Bluetooth headset to listen to music. How can a company that is tightly tied to user interfaces and customer experiences screw up this badly? Who knows, maybe Steve needs to spend more time making kids movies rather then trying to compete in markets he doesn’t understand?
Time to wait a long time for Leopard – never install a product the developer doesn’t understand. Maybe 2097 would be a good year to look at this OS and see if Apple fixed it yet.
Vista blew away OSX in 4 months. Wait until Windows 7 comes out – Microsoft will blow past Apple in 2 days.
Don’t even respond to MacRealist. Ignore him, he’ll go away..
Mac Realist – prepare to get flamed beyond recognition.
IGNORE HIM!
Responding only encourages him to continue.
gotta love macheads trying to spread misinformation about Vista. it’s an amazing OS and it’s why it’s going to pass OSX total share in 6 months. Why couldn’t Apple get some share in the YEARS since OSX debut? Consumers have even had to suffer watching those commercials saying “Look, we use Intel now, please buy us!” “No buyers yet? PLEASE! Ok. We’ll copy PCs again and let you have two mouse buttons” “NONE YET? WE’RE STILL NOT INCREASING!!!!! FINE! run Windows on your mac!11!!1”
Face it. Macs suck. Make an informed decision and get Windows Vista today!
To the Windows trolls,
“Microsoft, makers of the best POS (Pile of Sh–) in the world. OUR CRAP is bigger and smeller than theirs, so you know which one to buy. (Ignore the little crawly things, they are not bugs, only feature enhancements!!

“– God these people will buy anything we tell them to. . . . What do you mean, the mic is still on. !!!!! 🙁 “
Overheard in a back room at Redmond.

I heard Apple’s having trouble, too. They’ve been tripping over their mountains of cash. Today, I heard they caused a quick sell-off to try and un-bury Phil Schiller before he suffocated under a heap of twenties.
Hmm, another Service Pack from Cupertino.
No, Vista GOT pwnd:

Let’s hope this one addresses some of the oddball AirPort problems that 10.4.10 introduced. :fingers crossed:
