  1. ARM processor….

I wonder how much power there is in there…

How about the RAM and GPU? (I’m no expert, so those of you with hardware expertise, do you see them in the photos or are they somehow parts of the functions of the processor and the flash disk?)

  2. slightly off topic, I know … but in 30 minutes This eBay auction will end …. its for 2 (ea.) 8-gig iPhones …. Starting bid ??
    $10,200 !!

    Sorry for posting this … but thought it was hilarious ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”LOL” style=”border:0;” />

  3. @ AppleGuy

Yeah, no kidding !! …. Others on eBay are selling them for a “more reasonible” $1500 … (some offering free shipping, too) …

    I dont think this guy will sell his tho ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”LOL” style=”border:0;” />

  4. Ha ve you noticed that MDN is the only one so far who has bad mouthed the iPhone with their stupid iBrick story?

Everyone else is saying its great but MDN seemed to react like a spoiled brat that didn’t get what he wanted for his birthday, due to the activation delays.

  5. This iPhone take-apart underlines the point that I’m making over and over for years: this society is so affluent that it can afford wholesale switch from Wintel to Mac OS and it will be better off for that. The whole Macs are more expensive crap is just that – crap.

  6. @Have you noticed?:

There are plenty of “negative takes” out there on the iPhone since it hit the streets. Just google around. Or go to PC mag’s web site.

    @ Bill Gates:

What are you suggesting? Lynching? Stoning? Burning at the stake?

  7. @ ChrissyOne

“I wouldn’t be so sure. One of them uses a BlackBerry.”

Well, if a neanderthal can work a CrackBerry, then why can’t 95% of Windows users use a Mac?

Wait a minute! I believe I just answered my own question. Damn I’m good.

  8. Because of that black (more flexible) plastic piece at the bottom, it looks easier to open the case than an iPod. Replacing a weakening battery will be relatively simple, and there will no doubt be third parties selling higher capacity batteries for $20 on eBay. Be sure to use one of those plastic tools instead of a screwdriver.

  9. So, what is Think Secret going to do with their iPhone now?
    Be careful what you buy on ebay. ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”wink” style=”border:0;” />

It would be worth it just to see the look on an Apple Genius’ face to walk in an Apple store, put the pieces on the G-Bar and say. “It seems to have falling apart!”
